BORDER: Democrats need to either help solve the problems or else get out of Trump’s way – “Even the most partisan Democrats are hard-pressed at this point to deny that the border crisis President Trump has long been warning about actually exists. Yet that hasn’t stopped them from reflexively denouncing pretty much any action he takes — without suggesting any solution or ideas of their own.” – New York Post April 1, 2019 editorial

TRUMP ECONOMY: “Looking across the economy we see more Americans working than ever, a robust rise in earnings relative to the recent past, and more money in paychecks with the anticipation of little drop off in the average tax refund.” – Florida Times-Union April 2, 2019 editorial

TRUMP APPROVALS: A couple days ago, I posted about Rasmussen’s 50% Trump approval and the sneering it got from folks who cited FiveThirtyEight’s poll analysis that put Rasmussen on the “right biased” end. Frankly the Nut passed on this gem (screenshot), noting that maybe we can’t trust FiveThirtyEight’s analysis.
When I googled for more on the reliability of Rasmussen’s polls, I found that The Hill had noted that Rasmussen’s 2016 Nov 7th poll (Clinton up 2 points) came was the closest of all major pollsters in predicting the presidential election’s popular vote. Clinton won the popular vote by 1 percentage point, even though Donald Trump beat her on electoral votes. No other pollster tracked by RealClearPolitics came as close to the final results.

MEDIA: Don’t hold your breath waiting for any self-examination – “If the credentialed media were to judge itself primarily by political and pecuniary gain, rather than the veracity of its reportage, it would only make sense then that mea culpas would not be forthcoming. Why engage in introspection, show contrition, or undertake a post-mortem to explain why you got the story so spectacularly wrong, if your desired end was never to get it right?” – Ben Weingarten at The Federalist
CREEPY UNCLE JOE: Dearest and I are both disgusted with the Biden apologists who are excusing his inappropriate groping, sniffing, kissing, etc. as simply the actions of a very affectionate, hands-on guy. Puh-leeze. Have they not bothered to look at the videos of the young girls or read what a Secret Service agent said about him parading around nude in front of female agents and only when his wife was not home?
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the agent asserted that, “We had to cancel the VP Christmas get together at the Vice President’s house because Biden would grope all of our wives and girlfriend’s asses.” The annual party was for agents and Navy personnel who were tasked with protecting the Biden family.
Have the “he’s just affectionate” people given a single thought to the fact that a military CO or public school teacher who did this stuff would, at the very least, be called on the carpet for an official reprimand? Biden is not right in either head and we really do NOT need him back in the White House.
“I’m so old, I remember when Biden would run his mouth, embarrass the fool out of Obama et al and get sent away for a few months until the dust settled, and repeat. For eight years. But sure, let’s seriously consider him for the presidency.” – Kimberlee Kaye at Legal Insurrection
Remember when Barbara Boxer got her panties in a bunch because a military officer called her “ma’am” instead of “Senator”? Never mind that they’re taught to say “ma’am” as a term of respect or that he worked a lot harder than she ever did to earn the title “General” which she didn’t bother to use. And that was just a single word, not a physical invasion of her personal space.

JUDICIAL: Democrats have been dragging out the confirmation process for Trump nominees even for low-level positions. Mitch McConnell is finally doing what has been threatened for over a year — i.e., reducing floor debate from 30 hours to 2 hours.
“Since January 2017, for the first time in the 230-year history of the United States Senate, a minority of Senators have used Senate procedure to systematically prevent the President of the United States from putting a full team in place.” –U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY)

DEMOCRATS SCROUNGE FOR A NEW RUSSIA: The House Oversight Committee has its panties in a bunch over allegations that the Trump administration granted security clearance to people who allegedly had “serious disqualifying issues.” One top House Democrat has also alleged that President Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, also a presidential adviser, has used a a web application called WhatsApp to communicate with foreign leaders.
“Every day that there is an insecure line of communication that could be leaked, that could be hacked, that could be screen-shotted, without, with- without, uh, proper channels, is a day that we are putting our national security at risk. So the reason that we have to conduct and, and, and have these accommodations is because we are a committee that is committed to protecting whistle blowers.” – Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
“And, and I’d also like , um, indicate and, and, and note that some of the folks that, uh, may have insecure, you know, had, had their clearances overrode — or recommendations against giving them the clearance overrode — are, even, custodial staff. And folks would say, ‘Oh, that’s not important. That, that overriding a security clearance for a custodial staff is not a big deal.’ But first of all, every member of this government is important and has access to important information and has power. And especially when we’re talking about people who have physical pres- presence and access to secure and sensitive physical spaces in the White House? To be, uh, to be potentially compromised is extremely concerning.” – Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD)
Gee, if only they had given a toot about national security back when then-SecState Hillary Clinton decided to use an insecure, private email server instead of the secure, government email server she was supposed to use.

DEMOCRATS: The Party of Death – Forty-two Democratic senators voted against ending debate and proceeding to a vote on the Born Alive bill. Every one of them received funding from Planned Parenthood during their latest election cycle.
AOC: “She may wind up being the most popular politician in the country who can’t get re-elected in her own district.” -Scott Ott on Right Angle

TDS: The older gentleman in the photo had the GALL to sit quietly at a table in Starbucks while ::gasp:: wearing a MAGA hat. A crazed Bernie supporter screamed at him repeatedly, then posted a lengthy description about her “bravery” in the face of such “hatred.” She also tried to dox him.

INDIANA: A non-profit organization in Elkhart has teamed up with the school to package and freeze well-prepared, but unused food to give out to students who are at risk of going hungry over the week-ends. The pilot program provides 20 students with a backpack every Friday containing eight individual frozen meals. The district hopes to expand the program.

VIRGINIA: The state of Virginia has upped the ante on animal abuse – Where the former law required the animal to die from its injuries before the abuse could be deemed a felony, the new law (effective July1) makes willfully inflicting inhumane injury or pain on an animal a Class-6 felony. The crime carries a five year prison term and a fine of up to $2,500.
The new law was signed on Monday by Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, who supports both abortion on demand throughout all 9 months of pregnancy and denial of care for live-born infant survivors of abortion.

TEXAS: Where were their rights? – Action on the Texas Born-Alive Infant Protection Act was delayed when pro-abortion reps rudely failed to show up to hear the testimony of three female abortion survivors who support the bill requiring appropriate medical support be given to living survivors of abortion. The bill enjoys wide support among voters and representatives.
Abortion survivor and pro-life activist Gianna Jessen (left in photo) posted about being stood up by women who think she should’ve been left to die: “the men on the committee … were so embarrassed and horrified that the committee members would demonstrate that level of disrespect. i think it was when i saw and received the Kindness from the men and stared at the empty chairs of the women, that i cried. just for a moment. because the Honor from the men created such a contrast to being dishonored.”
NEW ZEALAND: After the mosque attacks in Christchurch where 50 people were murdered, New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the government would move quickly to tighten existing gun laws. Ahead of the new laws, Ardern urged gun owners to voluntarily surrender their firearms. As of March 20th, all of 37 guns had been surrendered nationwide. Kiwis own an estimated 1.2 million guns.
KEANU REEVES: March 23, 2019 – When his plane had to make an emergency landing in Bakersfield, 100 miles shy of Los Angeles, Reeves arranged for vans to take not just him, but all the passengers to their destination. Then he entertained the other passengers during the two-hour drive by reading facts about Bakersfield, playing country music on his phone, and saying goodbye to passengers as they were dropped off.
THE MIRACLE YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF: On Sunday, Oct. 3, 1847, more than 2,000 people in Ocotlán, Mexico saw a perfect image of Jesus Christ crucified that appeared in the sky for more than 30 minutes. Approved by the Archdiocese of Guadalajara in 1911, the phenomenon is known as the “Miracle of Ocotlán” and took place one day before an earthquake that killed 40 and left the town in Jalisco State in ruins.

I wondered how you had a picture of me, then I remembered, I don’t have a MAGA hat, and I don’t go to Starbux.
