CATHOLIC EDUCATION: The state of Oklahoma has approved the country’s first-ever religious charter school which will allow public funds to pay the tuition of children attending an online Catholic school run by the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and the Diocese of Tulsa. It will certainly face a legal challenge. While the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that states cannot discriminate against religiously affiliated schools in its school voucher programs, the constitutionality of charter schools run by religious institutions has not yet come up.

The sexualized accounts on Instagram are brazen about their interest with explicit hashtags such as #pedowhore and #preteensex, accounts that advertise child-sex material for sale, and offering child prostitutes for the right price. Some offer videos of children harming themselves. Many parents let their children use Instagram unsupervised.
WILDFIRES: As of Thursday afternoon, there were 349 fires burning in Canada; about 169 are considered out of control. If they continue at the current pace, this will be the all-time worst fire season on record.
President Biden has ordered all of his country’s federal firefighting personnel to be ready to deploy to Canada as raging wildfires north of the border blanket northeastern U.S. cities in a thick, smoky haze.
