Bits & Bytes

1A RELIGION: On Monday, the New Jersey Supreme Court unanimously upheld a Catholic school’s right to enforce an employee code of conduct in line with the Catholic faith and to fire teachers who violate Church teachings.

1A SPEECH: The following is from a recent federal appeals court decision – “In the summer of 2020, thousands of protesters flooded the streets of the District to proclaim ‘Black Lives Matter,'” the court wrote in its decision. “Over several weeks, the protesters covered streets, sidewalks, and storefronts with paint and chalk. The markings were ubiquitous and in open violation of the District’s defacement ordinance, yet none of the protesters were arrested. During the same summer, District police officers arrested two pro-life advocates in a smaller protest for chalking ‘Black Pre-Born Lives Matter’ on a public sidewalk. … The government may not enforce the laws in a manner that picks winners and losers in public debates.

2024: Now, there’s a ticket that won’t keep me up nights wondering, “Should I? Shouldn’t I?

BEST BUY: A whistleblower has reported a company announcement for a management opening that explicitly excludes white candidates. Another whistleblower says his boss told him Christian symbols were “inappropriate” for the workplace and “different” from the LGBT symbols displayed in Best Buy stores.

EXCESS DEATHS: Sadly for us (but not for the depopulationists), the numbers of excess deaths continues to closely track the degree to which various nation’s population have been jabbed. The most extreme cases cited in the article below are Canada and Bulgaria. Canada, which is 79% vaxxxed and boosted, is suffering an excess death rate of 15% to 20%; meanwhile, in 11% vaxxxed Bulgaria, the death rate is significantly lower than pre-pandemic levels.

NEW YORK CITY: National Review senior editor Charles C. W. Cooke blasted the Rotten Apple for its declaration of emergency over the influx of illegal migrants.

This is a side of progressivism that I loathe,” he said. “It is hypocritical, and it illustrates the capacity of the professional progressive mind to move between diametrically opposed hyperboles without any loss of enthusiasm.”

These people go from, ‘Have you seen the Statue of Liberty? Have you read the poem on it?’ They go from crying at the border. They go from spreading lies about border agents. They go from lionizing Ellis Island to proposing that the influx of a few thousand of the people that, until yesterday, they were suggesting could fit quite happily into tiny border towns in Texas, is going to strain the social fabric to such an extent that it represents a crisis. And there’s nothing in the middle. There’s no acknowledgement that they’ve changed their mind. There’s no slow transition from one to the other. They just turn on a dime, as if overnight they had downloaded the latest patch to their software.”

TRANS: Jason D. Hill writes at Front Page Magazine, “Biological women in the United States are being subjected to genocidal violation – we could call it existential rape of a certain type – by misogynistic biological males posing as trans-women. These fake women hate real women. They are the real oppressive patriarchs who wish to—like a lot of men—simply take up more space in the world and deny and confiscate the hard-fought rights women have battled for over the course of decades. They are not content to govern the corporate boardrooms; they want to compete with women in beauty contests, sports, and other existential life experiences, and to have a coercive monopoly on the right to claim that a definitive definition of a woman is trans-phobic, sexist, and toxic—all the while claiming that they are real women.
