The same judge, Colleen Kollar-Kotelly of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, sentenced all nine of the pro-lifers. At the end, she told Harlow, who will turn 76 later this month, to “make an effort to remain alive” throughout her two year incarceration. Sen. Ted Cruz called her a disgrace to the justice system. Harlow and her co-defendants say they have been praying for Harlow since the trial began.

You didn’t quite convey the full, nasty, mocking tone of the judge’s comment: that Harlow should “make an effort to remain alive” as that is a “tenet of [her] faith….” (I’ve seen it reported that the judge is nominally Catholic Biden & Pelosi style, apparently). The judge’s comment was precipitated by Harlow’s son, who has been caring for her, pleading with the judge for leniency, for fear she will die in prison.
As Sen. Cruz said, “Taunting an elderly woman about potentially dying alone in prison is disgraceful.”

It has been reported that someone posted on Facebook that their cousin was on the jury and told them the day before the verdict was announced that they were going to find Trump guilty. I maintained all along that every one of these jurors lied when they said they could be impartial. They planned to convict him before they ever sat down.
Now Merchan has to decide whether or not to declare a mistrial. He’ll do one of two things: either ignore this violation and sentence Trump to prison or immediately declare a mistrial and a retrial to keep the gag order in place so Trump can’t sya anything.
