LIFE: Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast stopped providing abortions in Texas in 2022 following the implementation of Senate Bill 8. On September 30, 2025, two of its six Houston-area clinics — Prevention Park and Southwest — will close. PPGC’s remaining four clinics (Northville, Northwest, Spring, and Stafford) will be acquired by Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas.
The 78,000-square-foot Prevention Park facility (photo above) was once the largest abortion center in the Western Hemisphere. In 2015, sidewalk counselors reported seeing four ambulances removing patients in the span of 30 days.
