EPSTEIN: Jeffrey Epstein’s imprisoned associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, had a heart-to-heart with the Department of Justice, during which she said she never saw President Donald Trump act inappropriately.

FLORIDA: DeSantis’ administration has declared that roadway markings are for safety purposes only, not political statements. Hence, Orlando’s Pulse Memorial Crosswalk was painted over to remove the rainbow pride colors that were installed in 2019 near the Pulse nightclub site to commemorate the 2016 shooting. On August 21, 2025, hundreds gathered at the site for rallies, with chants of “Bring back the rainbow!” and signs protesting state overreach. Some people colored in the rainbow stripes with chalk.

THE MEDIUM IS NOT THE MESSAGE: In 1964, Canadian communication theorist Marshall McLuhan published a book called The Medium is the Message in which he posited that the communication medium was more important than the message it carried. Democrats still believe this ridiculous theory.
A center-left think tank known as Third Way has sent out a list of 45 words and phrases they want Democrats to stop using. The piece (top link below) is worth reading, if only so you can appreciate how totally clueless the opposition is. For example, every item on the blacklist was invented by lefty Democrats to try and communicate their values. Now they’re saying they need to stop using them, so they can better communicate their values.
This all reminds me of something my Communication Arts professor at Cornell said once. He was talking about marriage counselors telling couples in trouble that they aren’t communicating. “They’re communicating just fine. It’s what they’re communicating that is the problem.”
