CATHOLIC: Archbishop Paul Stagg Coakley, elected this week as the new president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, has long supported denying Holy Communion to politicians, like Nancy Pelosi, who publicly support and vote in favor of abortion.

PUBLIC SCHOOL: [:39] – Tyler Durden at Zero Hedge writes, “Every month, around 300 to 500 public school teachers are arrested or charged for incidents involving a minor, including sexual assault on minors. The majority of these cases do not receive much attention in the media and often school districts will “pass the trash”; quietly removing an offending teacher and using confidentiality agreements to cover up incidents, allowing that employee to simply move on to another school district and repeat the pattern all over again.”
“Pass the trash” … kinda reminds me of what the Catholic Church is routinely bashed for doing with pedophile priests.

SNAP: USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins says about 80% of the people who have been using the program are able to work, 500,000 have been getting benefits twice under the same name, while another 5,000 are legally dead. Even worse, these numbers only cover the 29 states that have cooperated with the SNAP fraud investigation.

That last one is hilarious! It reminds me of something that happened to a woman I know. Her teenage son was looking at some old family photographs, and found a picture of his parents taken when his father had a full beard and looked nothing like his current clean-shaven self. The son didn’t recognize his dad and asked his mother who that guy was. She laughed and said, “Oh, that’s my first husband.” She was trying to be funny, but the son exploded! He yelled at her for never having told him she’d been married before, and he stormed out of the house in a rage. She had to wait until he cooled off and came back before she could explain that the bearded man was his dad. 😀
