AMERICAN HISTORY: On January 23, 1849, Elizabeth Blackwell became the first woman in America to graduate from medical school. After further training in London and Paris, she opened an infirmary in New York City, helping some of the city’s most in-need people. Blackwell’s practice focused on women and children.

I was intrigued to learn that the only school that would accept her as a student was Geneva Medical College, which later became Hobart and William Smith Colleges. My mother grew up in Geneva, NY, and my father, eldest brother, and nephew all graduated from Hobart College.

I’m sorry, but challenging the pastor about how a staff member earns a living belongs at a private meeting with the pastor or at a parish council or vestry meeting, not at a WORSHIP service.

It’s interesting to me that she thinks the church shouldn’t allow an ICE agent to be a pastor. I kinda feel the same way about her serving on the Saint Paul Public Schools Board.

CHURCH INVASION 3: I saw a number of people on social media sneering at Christians who are upset about the church invasion, because “Jesus flipped tables IN THE TEMPLE.” This is a gross misunderstanding of the text. Jesus did not interrupt a worship service. The temple priests did not allow temple donations and tithes to be paid with Roman coinage, so people had to exchange the coins they used in the markets for coins that were minted by the temple. The tables he overturned belonged to money changers in the outside court yard who were charging exorbitant exchange rates.

As I’ve mentioned here before, Kasky one and only claim to fame is that he survived a school shooting. Basically, he’s David Hogg 2.0, but with less education.

FAKE NEWS: Destiny and Shawn Jackson are Minneapolis parents who claimed their truck was “lifted off the ground” by a tear gas canister as they were peacefully driving home with 6 kids from a basketball game at Anderson Middle School. CBS wasted no time pimping out the tale. The Jacksons wasted no time putting up a GoFundMe page that scored them more than $173K.

There’s one teensy-weensy problem with their narrative. It’s a Big Fat Lie. Videos show both Destiny and Shawn were not at a ball game; they were on the street, participating in the protest, long before the tear gas was released. If the children were exposed to tear gas, it is because their parents endangered them by leaving them in a vehicle while they went out and harassed federal officers.

GREENLAND: Suzanne Downing has an interesting piece at The Alaska Story comparing how Inuit people have fared under the Alaska model of statehood versus the Greenland model of self-rule under Denmark. You can read the article for details, but the basics are this –

  • In Alaska, the Inuit people enjoy both economic power and political sovereignty unlike anything seen anywhere else else in the world.
  • In Greenland, the Inuit people have an elected government that owns and manages all resources; with minimal development, the nation depends on money from Denmark to function.

Anyone familiar with the historic failures of socialist governments can guess how well the people fare. One indicator is that Greenland’s suicide rates, particularly among Inuit men, are among the highest in the world, alongside higher levels of substance abuse and domestic violence.

ICE: Homeland Security @ DHS.gov tweeted, “On January 20, ICE conducted a targeted operation to arrest Adrien Alexa nder Conejo Arias a n illegal alien from Ecuador who was RELEASED into the U.S. by the Biden administration.

“As agents approached the driver Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias, fled on foot—abandoning his child. For the child’s safety, one of our ICE officers remained with the child while the other officers apprehended Conejo Arias.”

MENTAL HEALTH: Trump just signed an executive order to bring back insane asylums and mental institutions, stressing the importance of getting ‘people off the streets.’

According to Grok (multiple sources), lifetime arrest rates among homeless adults with severe mental illness range from roughly 63% to 90% depending on the study. Incarceration rates are between 48% to 67%.

IOW, rather than hospitalize and treat them, we put them on the streets where they can not function and mostly end up in jail or the morgue.

PRAYER for OUR NATION: Dear Lord, Soften the hearts of the angry people and awaken in them a spirit of kindness and courtesy. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

VAXXXINE: Newly released emails from 2021 show the government’s “public health” concerns about COVID-19 were actually centered primarily on forcing the untested mRNA gene therapy serums on American citizens.

On August 24, 2021, the results of a massive (770,000+ subjects) Israeli study were published in a paper entitled “Comparing SARS-CoV-2 natural immunity to vaccine-induced immunity: reinfections versus breakthrough infections.” It found that prior infection conferred substantially stronger protection against reinfection than two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

The emails show that government officials like Anthony Fauci did not want these findings to be publicized, les they undermine the administration’s push for universal vaccination.

Stephanie Edewaard Weidle, executive director of Feds For Freedom, said, “This is the evidence right here showing that our nation’s scientific leaders were not acting scientifically, and there needs to be accountability. We in the medical freedom fighting world, we already knew this, but to see it spelled out in these FOIA documents just makes it worse. People lost their jobs and their lives were turned upside down based on the argument that natural immunity was not enough.”
