DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Please grant us the graces we need to let go of the past, trust You for the future, and be grateful for the present. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

1A: Sidewalk Advocates for Life has sued Detroit in federal court over an ordinance it passed instituting a 15 foot buffer zone around all abortion facilities where pro-life advocates cannot enter. The ordinance also creates an eight foot floating buffer within 100 feet of an abortion facility for any client.

The Ordinance, which is enforceable through criminal penalties, violates the Free Speech, Free Exercise, and Freedom of Assembly Clauses of the First Amendment and the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, as well as the Michigan Constitution,” said the lawsuit, which was filed by the Thomas More Society.

Sidewalk Advocates stand on public sidewalks offering kindness and information to those women who are willing to receive it. A typical sign reads “Ask Me About Free Ultrasounds and Pregnancy Tests.” Detroit’s ordinance, which criminalizes this behavior, is similar to one implemented by Pittsburgh that the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals struck down as overly burdensome to free speech.

AMERICAN HISTORY: March 25th has been a bad date in our history –

On March 25, 1911, 146 people, mostly young female immigrants, were killed when a fire broke out at the Triangle Shirtwaist Co. garment factory in New York City.

On March 25, 1947, 111 miners died when coal dust exploded inside the Centralia Coal Co. Mine No. 5 in Washington County, Illinois.

On March 25, 1990, 87 people were killed when fire raced through the Happy Land social club in New York City.

CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS: On Sunday, a 13-foot statue of Christopher Columbus was installed on the north side of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, which is across the street from the White House.

In 2020, rioters tore the original down from its site in Baltimore’s Little Italy neighborhood and threw it into the river. It was fished out by the Knights of Columbus, who paid for rebuilding it with a $30K grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

After Baltimore officials declined to restore it to its original site, Trump decided to put it back up on White House property.

GOSNELL: Kermit Gosnell has reportedly died while serving time for murdering newborns who survived abortion, the involuntary manslaughter of a woman who died after an illegal abortion, and illegally selling painkillers. Investigators recovered the remains of numerous fetuses inside his filthy clinic where he had a high school student injecting patients with drugs prior to their abortions. Witnesses say the only clean room in the place was the one reserved for white patients. The Grand Jury Report and staff testimony indicated that Gosnell probably killed many more women and viable fetuses but that the other cases could not be proven due to missing or destroyed records and limited physical evidence.

LAKEN RILEY 2.0: Do you remember the hours of coverage over days and even weeks after the deaths of left-wing “martyrs” like George Floyd (died of drug overdose while committing a felony), Renee Good (shot while trying to ram a cop with her car), and Alex Pretti (shot while scuffling with law enforcement officers while carrying a gun)?

Eighteen-year-old Loyola University Chicago student Sheridan Gorman was murdered by an illegal alien while watching the Northern Lights with friends. The Slime Stream Media hasn’t given her 3 minutes of their time.

LENTEN MEDITATION: The fruits of the Holy Spirit are Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, and Self-Control. I’m thinking “not choking someone” must fall under at least five of them.

OBAMACARE: March 23, 2010. Sixteen years ago, President Barack Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law, thus locking into statutory concrete the dysfunctional status quo that burdens us today. PRAYER for OUR NATION: Dear Lord, Protect our hearts from devising evil against one another and help us to build a society based on love and respect for all. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

SCOTUS: On March 23, 2026, the Supremes heard oral arguments in the case of Watson v. Republican National Committee, which involves a challenge to Mississippi’s law allowing mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day to be received and counted up to five business days later.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor said, “Well, maybe we should have another president now because wasn’t it in Florida that they were counting military votes after receipt?

Paul Clement, attorney for the Republicans, answered, “So, with all due respect, that is the reddest of red herrings” and explained that the situation in Florida after the 2000 election (so, Bush, not Trump) was a one-time only, court-ordered remedy granted because the State of Florida had failed to get absentee ballots to overseas/military voters at least 45 days in advance of election day.

The SAVE Act: A new CBS/YouGov survey of U.S. adults shows that 68% say stronger voter ID laws would have no impact on their decisions to vote, while 22% say they would be more likely to vote vs. 9% who say they would be less likely to vote. Among Blacks, more likely was 26% vs. 12% less likely. Among Hispanics, the numbers were 31% vs. 13%.
