We’re almost there

Judah Ben Samuel, a 12 century German rabbi, made some astonishing and specific predictions about the future of Jerusalem and Israel that have come true. In light of this, it is difficult to dismiss the specific prediction he made concerning 2017.

To understand the times given in his predictions, you need to know that, in Leviticus 25, a “jubilee” is defined as being 50 years.

1. In the 12th century, Rabbi Ben Samuel predicted that the Turks would conquer Jerusalem and rule over it for eight jubilees (400 years).

In 1517, the Ottoman Turks conquered the Mamluks, who had been reigning in Jerusalem since 1250. In 1917, exactly 400 years later, the Ottomans were defeated by the British during the First World War at the Battle of Jerusalem.

2. In the 12th century, Rabbi Ben Samuel predicted that after the Turks were thrown out of Jerusalem, it would become a “no-man’s land” for one jubilee.

In 1917, the League of Nations placed the Holy Land under British Mandate. Under international law, it literally belonged to no one nation. Even after Israel’s war of independence in 1948-49, Jerusalem was still divided by a strip of land running right through the heart of the city, with Jordan controlling the eastern part of the city and Israel controlling the western part of the city. That strip of land was considered and even called “no-man’s land” by both the Israelis and the Jordanians. It was not until the Six Day War in 1967 — exactly 50 years after the British conquered Jerusalem — that the entire West Bank of the Holy Land was conquered by the Israeli army and the whole city of Jerusalem passed back into the possession of Israel.

3. In the 12th century, Rabbi Ben Samuel predicted that the Messianic End Times would begin in 1967 during the 10th Jubilee while Jerusalem was under the control of the Jews.

The 10th Jubilee ends in 2017.

So here’s a question.

What do you suppose happens in 2017? The Rapture maybe?

Veterans Day Meditation

For the first time in my adult life, I am not proud of my country. It breaks my heart, especially for those serving in uniform. But we know that, in Jesus, we will have the final victory.

In Revelation Chapters 1 to 3, the Lord God says,

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the one who is and who was and who is to come, the almighty.”

Democrats may think they’re hot stuff these days, but God is the one in charge. He was here before them, He is here now, and He will still be here long after they are forgotten.

In those same chapters, Jesus tells us what reward awaits the victors — i.e., those who persevere in faithfully doing God’s will right to the end.

The victors will not be thrown with the damned into the eternal pool of fire at the final judgment, but will live forever with God. They will be “dressed in white”, which symbolizes their purity and their joy.

Two of the promises have special meaning for us in these disheartening post-election days. In the letter to Pergamum, the Lord promises to the victor a “white stone.”

In New Testament times, there was a custom in which jurors cast their votes by means of a stone. A white stone signified acquittal, a black one condemnation.

In Acts 26:9-10, Paul talks about his own persecution of the Christians before his conversion:

“I imprisoned many of the holy ones with the authorization I received from the chief priests, and when they were to be put to death I cast my vote against them.”

According to http://whitestoneweb.com/index.php/archives/238, the word used for “vote” in this passage is the same word used for “stone” in the letter to Pergamum.

In other words, the victors will get Jesus’ vote for acquittal on Judgment Day.  Those who corrupted our earthly election process will have to do some serious repenting if they HOPE to CHANGE enough to be among the white stone crowd on THAT election day!

Finally, in the letter to Thyatira, Jesus promises,

“To the victor, who keeps to my ways until the end, I will give authority over the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. Like clay vessels will they be smashed.”

Ooh-rah.

Nov 7 Meditation

We did not win the battle, but we did make a difference to each other and God honors that. All our actions are before His eyes continually.

When we confess our sins, He graciously covers them with Jesus’ blood so they are truly erased and no longer remembered. But our good works, He remembers and celebrates eternally.

What to do now we have lost the nation?

Remember that Jesus won the war.

We’ve known since Israel was reconstituted that the End Times were upon us.

In my lifetime, I’ve watched as Christian civilizations trampled on their birthright by legalizing child murder, the one crime that marked the civilizations and religions that God told us were most abhorrent to Him.

I’ve watched as the world’s population has risen by the billions and thought, “This is what God told us to do … go forth and fill the earth.” And it struck me powerfully that more human beings are alive right now than have ever lived in the history of our species.

He did not make us to live here; He made us to live eternally with Him. Our time here is temporary and its stories are not the real story. The real story is the choice each and every soul makes to be with God or apart from Him.

I had hoped this election would give us a reprieve, a time to restore the light of liberty on the world’s hill as a beacon to the oppressed of the world. Now I feel that is not to be.

I got an email today about buckling down and fighting hard for 2016. But I think the country will be as unrecognizable in 2016 as Germany was after Hitler solidified his power.

Romney should have won. If we couldn’t manage a free election this year, when we still had a lot of our freedoms, when we knew and were prepared for election fraud, then we haven’t got a chance from now on.

Obama’s DOJ suppressed a voter fraud case from 2008. There’s no way we’re going to get any fairness now. Benghazi is going to be swept under the rug along with every other dirty thing they have done and will continue to do.

Obama and Jarrett et al. have been suppressing the rule of law and stripping us of our freedoms for the past four years. From now on, I expect them to only accelerate all the things they’ve been doing all along, which in short are pushing Satan’s agenda and persecuting God’s people.

We need to focus on people, on the salvation of our own souls and the souls of our loved ones. As Dearest said, “It’s back to the catacombs for us.”

I’m also hoping that whole Rapture thing turns out to be true.
