The task force is charged with ensuring that “any unlawful and improper conduct, policies, or practices that target Christians are identified, terminated, and rectified.”

CDC: In late August, CDC Director Susan Monarez was fired after less than a month in her role, primarily due to conflicts with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. over vaccine policy and her refusal to follow certain directives. Her firing prompted at least four senior officials to resign.
Dr. Debra Houry advised the director on agency issues and priorities during the COVID-19 pandemic;
Dr. Demetre Daskalakis served in leadership roles at the CDC from 2020 to 2025;
Dr. Daniel Jernigan, who apparently isn’t important enough to have a Wikipedia page, explained on NPR that his reason for resigning was to “get the politics out of public health”; and
Dr. Jennifer Layden, who left her job as incident manager for Chicago’s COVID-19 response to help lead the CDC’s national COVID-19 response. Shortly after her arrival, she co-led a vaccine task force that oversaw COVID-19 vaccine data and contributed to clinical guidance decisions.
CHRIS CHRISTIE: Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie appeared on ABC News’ This Week, and opined that “Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a foolish man, full of foolish and vapid ideas” who is “wholly unqualified” to oversee major public health decisions.
MEDIA: The Left Stream Media did not report on the murder of Iryna Zarutska, a female Caucasian refugee from Ukraine, by a violent Black criminal with a rap sheet a mile long. And when surveillance video revealed the attack was vicious and unprovoked from start to finish, the Left Stream Media still did not deem the story worthy of their time and attention.
What they are reporting on is how the stabbing video is fueling MAGA’s crime message. One paragraph from Axios story “Stabbing video fuels MAGA’s crime message” (link below) says, “Influential conservative social media accounts accused major national news outlets of not covering the racial dynamics of the Charlotte killing — a white victim and a Black suspect — with the same intensity as they did in the case of Daniel Penny.”
In case you have forgotten, Penny is a Caucasian military veteran who took down a violent Black man who was threatening passengers on a subway car. The “major national news outlets” went nuts, calling for the Evil White Supremacist to be drawn and quartered. But during his trial, the other passengers said Penny had saved their lives. Thankfully, the jury voted to acquit.
GRAMMY NOTES: The best advice I ever heard was, “Kids don’t need to know about sex until they’re starting to have those feelings.” The only sex education I gave my girls before that was to leave Right to Life literature laying around so they would have no doubt about the humanity of the unborn and pause at unmarried intimacy on t.v. to lecture “Keep your pants on until after the wedding.” I stopped doing that when they started to yell “We KNOW MOM!!” They are all now happily married and have given me 10 gorgeous grandkids to love on.
NORTH CAROLINA: The screenshot above is from a light rail surveillance video just moments before Decarlos Brown Jr. (34) abruptly stood up and stabbed Iryna Zarutska (23) to death. It happened so fast that nobody on the train noticed until they saw the blood that Brown’s knife dripped on the floor as he exited the train. That happened late on Friday, August 22, 2025, in Charlotte.
Brown is a Black man with a rap sheet; Zarutska is a blonde-and-blue Caucasian refugee from Ukraine. The national media ignored the crime until the Charlotte media released the video. Most of them are still ignoring the crime. Do I even need to mention the likelihood that they would be doing so if the man with the knife had been a Caucasian with a rap sheet and the woman had been an “undocumented migrant” of color?

Today we celebrate the feast of Saint Teresa of Calcutta, better known to the world as Mother Teresa. Born in 1910 in Skopje (present-day North Macedonia), she entered the Loreto Sisters in Ireland as a young woman and soon moved to India, where she taught at a girls’ school in Calcutta. In 1946, during a train journey, she experienced what she later described as a “call within a call”: the deep conviction that Jesus was asking her to leave the security of her convent and dedicate herself to serving the poorest of the poor. With nothing but a simple white sari and a heart full of faith, she began walking the streets of Calcutta, tending to the sick, abandoned, and dying.
In time, others joined her, and the Missionaries of Charity were founded, growing into a worldwide order dedicated to serving the poor, sick and vulnerable. Mother Teresa became a global symbol of compassion, not because of great speeches or grand buildings, but because of her radical closeness to those whom society had cast aside. She tended wounds, lifted dying bodies off the streets, and reminded the forgotten that they were beloved children of God. For her, each suffering person was “Jesus in a distressing disguise” as she referred to. Her life was a living testimony that holiness is not found in doing extraordinary things, but in doing ordinary things with extraordinary love to ordinary people.
The Gospel for today speaks of the “new wine” of Jesus’ teaching that cannot be contained by old wineskins. Mother Teresa’s vocation was just such a new wine. She left behind the old wineskin of convent life and poured herself completely into the new mission God gave her. Her witness reminds us that the Gospel is always fresh, always challenging, always pushing us beyond comfort and convention. Like the new wine, God’s call can burst open our old patterns, leading us into unexpected places where His love is most needed.

Cook was one of Joe Biden’s DEI hires; she was only confirmed after a 50–50 vote was broken by VP Harris. In addition to her academic fraud, Cook has also been accused of committing mortgage fraud. As we’ve seen with two other prominent Democrats, she has claimed two different properties were her primary residences in order to gain more preferable terms.
