Monday’s Path – March 7th, 2011

by Dee

Good Morning, PoliNators!

I hope you all had a fine weekend.   Found this posted to my news feed, from my highly liberal cousin:

I am a public employee. I am not the problem. Wall Street made billions, crashed the economy, ruined lives and got bailed out. Average Americans followed the rules and got thrown to the wolves. Teachers, librarians, police officers, paramedics, firefighters, and others are NOT the enemy. We live here, pay taxes, work hard, and contribute to the health of the community. If you are a public employee, please re-post.

Sigh.  You may not be the enemy, but asking you to pay for a portion of your retirement does not make us the enemy, either, bucko.

I do not understand how anyone can support Rory Reid or his creepy father. I know it is wrong, but I am relishing Rory’s troubles.

  2. My husband and I were stunned to see this unsigned editorial in the St. Paul Pioneer Press yesterday. The Pioneer Press is by no means a conservative newspaper, although admittedly it is less reflexively liberal than most big-city newspapers (especially those located in blue states).

Among other excellent points, the writer notes that Gov. Mitch Daniels of Indiana ended collective bargaining for public employee unions back in 2005, and — surprise — no disastrous consequences ensued. Indiana went from budget deficits to budget surpluses and essential services continued to be provided. (The writer doesn’t mention this, but Gov. Daniels also won re-election in 2008 by an 18-point margin.)

Art Robinson, scientist and homeschooling father, ran for Congress in Oregon last year. Please read about what the “Democrat” machine is doing to his children in retaliation. This is important.

    • That is both horrifying and at the same time not at all surprising. These people are evil, and there is nothing they won’t do to destroy anyone who stands in their way.

Something similar happened to my brother, a public school teacher, just recently. I will probably write about it soon, if I can calm down enough.
