Atta boy, John! … Bigger cuts than he started with AND no funding for ObamaCare or abortion! Yahoo! Now, if he could only find a way to keep the EPA from trying to regulate carbon dioxide.

I couldn’t care less about NPR and PBS. Better we waste tax dollars on them than on killing unborn babies. Besides, I found a blog at the NPR website bragging that their audience is small but intensely loyal. NPR is very Leftist. Obviously, this small, but loyal group comes from that 25% who wouldn’t vote Republican if their lives depended on it.

So who cares if they’re on the air? They’re preaching to the choir, not to those critical few percent of Mushy Middlers we need to win.

  2. By the way, why are we funding NPR/PBS? I know back in the day, before Cspan, it was supposed to give local access to all things cultural and educational. Now they just pimp for Democrats who keep them alive. Let them go public with commercials in the free market spirit…..oh, how did that work out for Air America ??? Heh.

Also, Planned Parenthood is nothing like it’s original plan. It’s legalized back alley abortions AND they donate over a million a year to Democratic candidates to keep ’em running. Our Gov here in Virginia just signed a bill to toughen their standards for health and safety for the moms…….and lefties are PISSED ? I don’t get it. /rant

I’m a little confused about the PP rider – I read somewhere that now it will be debated in the Senate whereas before Reid wouldn’t allow it. So PP funding is still possible – or do I just not understand?

The way that I understand it is that part of the deal is that they took out the funding of Planned Parenthood and put it in a separate bill that Harry Reid has “Promised” will go to the floor of the Senate for a vote. The same thing with the funding of Obamacare. It is expected that these bills will not pass the Senate, but the Dems have to go on the record with their votes, but I will believe those things get a vote in the Senate when I see it. So the answer to your question, Dee, is that probably Planned Parenthood will in fact be funded in this deal, but there will be a record of who voted to do so.
