Democrats hated Lincoln, campaigned on White Supremacy

If any of you ever get to IL, try to make a trip to the Lincoln Library in Springfield. It is so incredibly well done. There is this exhibit called the hall of whispers that has halograms of people in period constume, saying exact quotes that were written by people of his time. The hatred for him was palpable.
There were terrible press releases and cartoons as well calling him, dumb, a country bumpkin, etc. I walked through it during the bush years and I thought they were headlines taken from today’s papers spewing the hatred for Bush.
Every patriot needs to visit this and the Lincoln home at least once.
