It’s Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. I love the date. 2/13/13 … Two One Three One Three. I think I’ll let that be my meditation for the day, the symbolic meaning of those numbers.

It never occurred to me until he mentioned it that anyone would think BXVI would be maneuvering to hand-pick his successor. Shortly after listening to this, I saw comments to that effect at Twitchy. Also a very “right on” tweet about how we should brace ourselves for weeks and weeks of non-stop Catholic bashing.
