The same week that President Obama’s administration canceled already-scheduled White House tours FOR CHILDREN (blaming it on Evil Republicans, natch), the Obamas ALSO announced they would be hosting megastars Adele and Beyonce at Michelle’s 50th birthday party next year.
Word is the Obamas will pay Adele’s expenses as it’s a private party, not a State one. Okay. But the tours for citizens are done by volunteers; the “it’s too expensive! (sequester wah wah)” quibble was over extra expenses incurred by the White House budget, like for security and cleaning. Who do you suppose pays for THAT stuff when the Obamas have a bash? Hmm?

Royal Navy helicopter technician Nicky Howse was told she would not be allowed on board the plane at Heathrow if she did not remove her combat fatigues. She was returning to her deployment station.
In an email to a friend, she wrote: “It was horrific. I was made to feel uncomfortable in my own country for wearing the uniform I wear to defend the place.”

I find it interesting that when I posted about my anonymous caller on Friday morning, I had 2 more calls about 10 or 15 minutes after
I posted his number here. It had been steadily escalating all week. But since those 2 right after I posted the number – nothing. I don’t know if anyone here had any role in that, but if so, I thank you.
