This is a creepily brilliant political painting. I’ve included references below for those that need them. Beyond that, I think this just speaks for itself … LOUDLY.
Genesis 25:29-34 – Once, when Jacob was cooking a stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished. He said to Jacob, “Let me gulp down some of that red stuff; I am famished.” That is why he was called Edom. But Jacob replied, “First sell me your right as firstborn.” “Look,” said Esau, “I am on the point of dying. What good is the right as firstborn to me?” But Jacob said, “Swear to me first!” So he sold Jacob his right as firstborn under oath. Jacob then gave him some bread and the lentil stew; and Esau ate, drank, got up, and went his way. So Esau treated his right as firstborn with disdain.
The “Marxie” cup of red stuff is a brilliant, multi-layered image. I don’t know if the artist intended to include the Dixie Cups trio and their most famous hit, Goin’ to the Chapel, in the cup reference, but it fits so beautifully, given the utopian nature of the song lyrics, Marxism and Jonestown combined with Obama’s fascination with glam black celebs and the Obama-As-Messiah mythos.
There is a brief history of Jonestown and “drink the kool-aid” by Mental Floss @ http://mentalfloss.com/article/13015/jonestown-massacre-terrifying-origin-drinking-kool-aid. Reading it, one new Jonestown thought jumped out for me, which was .. how come this over-crowded and malnourished community that was so poor in basic necessities somehow had enough cyanide, diazepam, promethazine, and chloral hydrate to dose more than 900 people?

The “Common Ground,” so called, is the oldest public cemetery in Newport. It was laid out about 1665. It contains many of the quaint headstones of common slate. Here may be seen the graves of many of the early governors of the colony, that of a signer of the Declaration of Independence, the graves of our early merchants and clerical worthies. Many stones are dedicated the memory of old sea captains. Within this cemetery is “God’s Little Acre”, which is the Colonial African Burial Ground. It is considered a separate cemetery.
