This is a feeble attempt by yours truly to try to do a post like CtH could do it.
If you haven’t been paying attention, this is MHP:
For their year-end show they had a bunch of unfunny leftist “comedians” on to mock…what else? Republicans. They showed a picture of Mitt Romney’s family with their newly-adopted black grandchild on Romney’s lap. All these ‘tolerant’ slugs saw was a shiny black face in a sea of white. They thought it was really funny joking about the little ‘token.’

Afterwards,a storm of outrage exploded all over the twitterverse about the crass insensitivity of this no-talent hack.
Fearing for her job,she offered this heartfelt “apology.”

At least she didn’t wear her trademark tampon earrings.
Right after her phony apology,Slate bitch Katrina Van Den Hateful sniffed:
“But I do think the right-wing populism of the tea party not only became so obsessed with an anti-government meme, but let’s be honest. There is a race … racism threaded through the right-wing populism, I mean which is not unusual to American right-wing populism, that has not allowed for coalitions that could be built on behalf of working people in this country against the most powerful interests.”
Phallic Baldtwerp tweeted:
If I cry, will I be forgiven all of my transgressions?

Even Keith Olberpuke piled on:
Any adults in charge over there? RT @politico Melissa Harris-Perry apologizes to Romney family for using their black adopted grandson in a comedy segment http://politi.co/1hSfI8u
Alec Baldwin Subtweets MSNBC And Melissa Harris-Perry, Wondering If Crying Would Have Helped Him
From HotAir.com:
Yeah, the interesting thing about this is that they put the photo on the air even though they obviously didn’t have anything to say about it. Ostensibly it’s comic fodder for Harris-Perry’s panel of comedians to riff, but all they can muster is (1) hey, one of them looks different, (2) a Kardashian joke from MHP herself, and (3) a predictable dig at the GOP — which would have worked just as well as a dig at Obama’s 2012 campaign team, actually. It’s not that the photo’s inherently funny or that a white family adopting a black child is wrong — imagine them reacting to a photo of Tom Cruise with his adopted son — it’s that, I think, they felt they couldn’t let it go unremarked upon that the GOP’s last nominee seems happy to have a black child in his family. On MSNBC, racism is the only reason to become a Republican. They’ve got to mock, even if they’re not exactly sure what they’re mocking, to delegitimize the inconvenient possibility that Romney isn’t prejudiced. Or maybe I’m giving them too much credit; maybe they do have a problem with interracial adoptions, a controversial subject in family law for ages. A lot of people who’d normally insist that race is nothing more than a social construct tend to get fidgety when a black child goes to live with a white family because it risks depriving him of his “authenticity.” Maybe that’s happening here, although I lean towards the “look at this Republican with a black kid!” gawk theory.
In other “all conservative thoughts spring from prejudice” news, apparently making fun of a grown man for wearing pajamas that a three-year-old would wear is proof of anti-Semitism.
THOSE MSLSD FOLKS SURE ARE A GRACEFUL BUNCH,AREN’T THEY?
MHP has a white mother and her dad is bi-racial. Except for a few nightmares like Sheila Jackass-Lee,name another famous black woman who isn’t partially white. I’m not trying to be racist,I just want to know.
Joyless Reid looks black, but could she be Ol’ Harry’s love Chile?

Class act,ain’t she?
Howard Kurtz has a theory. He’s kind of enjoyable since he left CNN.
Howard Kurtz wonders if MSNBC is being deliberately crude. When your ratings have hit rock bottom, the easy way for a TV network to revive your fortunes is to have your hosts deliberately create controversy, which generates social media buzz, which drives viewers to your network.
Is it possible all of these controversies at MSNBC over the last few months have been the result of company policy which encourages MSNBC personalities to be rude and crude?
Mitt Romney was on Fox News Sunday yesterday. As expected,he handled it with class.
I know this post lacks the artistic style of others contributors, but I do the best I can with what I have.

I liked it, Pete! It flowed well and I am grinning at your willingness to push your boundaries (again).
“They’ve got to mock, even if they’re not exactly sure what they’re mocking” … “even if” should maybe be “even though” cuz really … WHEN do these twits ever have a clue?

Rush to Accept Melissa Harris-Perry Apology Misses Chance to Confront Left on Race-Baiting
Mitt Romney had a golden opportunity today to call out liberals from Barack Obama and Howard Dean to Melissa Harris-Perry and the whole of MSNBC for smearing Republicans and conservatives as racists. He could have urged soul-searching by liberals to examine how harmful their race-baiting is to American society. Instead, Romney joined Republicans and conservatives in saying we should ‘move on’ and close the book on this episode.
For this Romney is being praised as gracious and “classy”. However, one can graciously accept an apology for a personal affront, but still discuss the bigger picture of liberal race-baiting.
You can’t win the hearts and minds (and votes) of minorities if you constantly allow yourself to be smeared as a racist.

MSNBC, the left-leaning cable-news network, has settled on one solution to its recent problems. It now has an executive reviewing scripts before they go on the air. The role, which has fallen to Rich Stockwell, a former executive producer of The Ed Show and Countdown with Keith Olbermann who now oversees special projects at the network, was created as several of the network’s hosts have, to the embarrassment of network brass, conducted a master class in political incorrectness. In recent months, Alec Baldwin, Martin Bashir, and, most recently, Melissa Harris-Perry have awkwardly crashed into the trinity of sexual orientation, gender, and race, leading many to wonder if there are any adults in charge at MSNBC.
There is one such adult, actually, and her name is Rachel Maddow.
Apparently Butch wears the biggest jock.that’s not saying very much for a network whose viewership is down 29% since 2012.

Head of New York Civil Rights Coalition compares MSNBC rhetoric to McCarthyism
Michael Meyers, executive director of the New York Civil Rights Coalition, told The Daily Caller that Melissa Harris-Perry and MSNBC engage in racial McCarthyism to silence mainstream black voices.
“I’m an African-American, and I’m a liberal,” said Meyers, longtime former member of the ACLU’s Board of Directors and onetime aide to legendary NAACP executive director Roy Wilkins. ”I shook when I watched that segment where they were calling out the African-American grandchild of Mitt Romney. I was really appalled.”

Rant alert!
If a paleface Republican has a family full of nothing but other palefaces, the left takes that as proof positive that said Republican is a vicious racist. If he has a family that contains some members who are different shades of beige or sepia or mahogany or umber or taupe, then they cry “tokenism,” and the person in question is still a racist. There is just no pleasing some people.
When my youngest child was about 14, she spent a week at a Teens for Life training camp — something that’s conducted every summer by Wisconsin Right to Life, to train the next generation of pro-life advocates. When I drove down at the end of the week to collect my teenager, the other students’ families were also there, collecting their younguns… and it made me chuckle to see how many of the families looked like miniature versions of the United Nations, with children of varying skin colors. One cute little Asian girl was being mobbed by her numerous younger siblings, who had all apparently missed her a great deal and were all trying to hug her at once. They wouldn’t hold still long enough for me to count them, but there were a LOT of them, and they were such an interesting collection of nationalities — Asian, Indian, African, etc. Finally the girl’s parents came in, and I almost cracked up, because they were as lily-white as I am… and the mom had yet another baby on her hip — an African one. They were just about the cutest family ever. I wish I had their Christmas card family picture to send to Melissa Harris-Perry, because it would probably give her apoplexy — which I’m sure is a covered condition under Obamacare, at least if you’re a lefty media person.

Amen. I’ve always found the knee-jerk (reverse?) bigotry of lefty acquaintances disturbing. Not to mention insulting. You really are never innocent in their eyes, and there’s nothing you can do about it. It’s an obsession.
