There is a new wordpress format today and I don’t care for it. I have never seen a post here that had the comments disabled and several of CtH’s are. One of the biggest reasons I love posting here is to share thoughts and see what others have to contribute. It’s like anticipating going to a ball game and finding out they don’t allow fans into the game.
Like grandpa used to say: just when you think you have all the answers, they go and change the questions!
Here’s hoping this works.
TOO FAT FOR A CONVENTIONAL SHOWER,MOOCH SHOWS OFF HER NEW BIKINI AS SHE AWAITS HER ANNUAL BATH

Obama to donors: We’re going to have Supreme Court appointments within the next two years, you know
The notorious RBG just said she wasn’t going anywhere for at least two years. That leaves the possibility of a republican president naming her replacement.Klintoon made Bob Torricelli an offer he couldn’t refuse to resign when he was sure to lose his senate seat, they wouldn’t pressure a woman in her 80’s to step down just to make sure her replacement is a harder-left loon than she is,would they?
BWAHAHAHA
Only two possibilities, my friends. One: He’s talking out of his ass here, trying to scare the shinola out of well-heeled liberals in order to make them reach for their wallets before the midterms. (See also “impeachment.”) Two: The fix is in.
Over/under on when Ginsburg calls it quits is summer 2015.

Ever Wondered Why the Media Never Mentions “Cash for Clunkers” Anymore?
In the minds of Obama’s team of advisers and economists, the program made total sense, of course. The plan was to dangle a $4,500 credit to persuade car owners to trade in their older automobiles for new cars with better fuel efficiency. It would stimulate an economy then in the midst of a deep recession. As a bonus, it would mean less oil consumption and cleaner-running cars.
The law of unintended consequences is a brutal thing, though, especially for inexperienced, shortsighted policymakers.
What they tried to do was bribe people into buying new cars with taxpayer money to help the union-owned car companies.what it did was take tens of thousands of perfectly serviceable vehicles that poor people could afford and purposely destroy them. Then they summarily decided which car dealerships would stay in business and which ones they decided to close, many family-owned dealerships like one in our town that had been here more than 60 years. In one day, they were gone.Nothing.Sacrificed to the whims of the Clown Prince.
.I looked for a different used car for nearly a year before I bought one,but used cars are going for top dollar because there aren’t as many available and are out of many peoples’ price range.

Yep – we knew this would happen. So did they!

Not an unintended consequence at all, sadly.

Hollywood pumps cash to save Senate majority for Democrats
Hollywood is pouring money into the midterm elections, with A-listers such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Barbra Streisand all coughing up blockbuster bucks.
The donations are largely aimed at keeping the Senate in Democratic hands. Republicans, who have the political winds at their backs, need to pick up six seats to win control of the upper chamber.
All you Hollywood dickheads go down to the beach and as the tsunami approaches hold up your checkbooks. That’ll surely do the trick.

Book Publisher Afraid That Bergdahl Book Proposal Will Harm Obama
A book proposal drafted by Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s platoon mates has one publisher worried it would subject President Barack Obama to criticism, Yahoo! News reports.
But to this senior editor of Atria Books, which is a part of Simon and Schuster, what these soldiers have to say about Bergdahl isn’t as important as protecting Obama from criticism for swapping five Taliban leaders for Bergdahl.
Remember when there was at least a shred of standards in journalism?
Not any more.

With WP, those “Comments Off” settings can get set for no apparent reason. I’m not sure why, but maybe Chrissy can get them reset?
It could be worse. Go over to Ann Barnhardt’s blog and try to comment. She has never allowed comments of any kind. When people complain, she calls them narcissists. LOL!

The only way I can figure to get my preferences (e.g., image size and comments on) to re-activate is to keep setting them by hand until the Wizard Behind the WP Curtain realizes, “Oh, hey. She likes it THIS way.” And just lets me HAVE that as a default. If there’s a place to set my preferences, I have not found it.
Please let me know as best you can if I (or the gremlin) mess up and I’ll reset (again). We do send spam and first timers to moderation to keep things pleasant around here. But otherwise, comments are welcome.
I have never gone back and deleted any comment or thread, even when it was not pleasant for me. I figure readers can decide for themselves what to think. If someone agrees with my critics, so be it. I try to learn from folks and especially appreciate corrections to my occasional booboos, which I fix as best I can.
I don’t always agree with some folks’ criticisms and may explain my position … or not. But I usually just disengage after that. If discussion continues between y’all, that’s wonderful … and hopefully continues to be as polite as we all try to be in the Garden. But I am just too busy researching and writing and making new graphics to get all obsess-y about anything that’s more than a day or two old.

ITA about the replies.I’m thinking maybe we don’t have trolls here because there are so few of us and those unhappy souls like to have as large an audience as possible while they make an ass of themselves.

We do get vicious and abusive comments occasionally, but they go directly into the trash. No one gets banned for disagreeing if they do it politely, but we draw the line at extreme vulgarity and gratuitous nastiness.
