Feb 17, 2015: Pope Francis today said a Mass for “our 21 Coptic brothers, slaughtered for the sole reason that they were Christians.” Australia, the UK, and Canada all noted the victims were Christian. The Obama administration refused to identify them as more than “Egyptian citizens.”
When asked by reporters about this, State Department press secretary Jen Psaki refused to admit the victims were killed because of their faith in Jesus Christ. She said, “This is simply a horrific attack of terrorism“ and said the Obama administration was “not going to put new labels or — or, certainly, argue with comments of the pope.”
“New labels”?!?! When Daesh and the rest of the world called them “Christians”?!?!
