NRA president about existing gun laws the Left refuses to enforce
President Obama already has all the laws he needs to put a stop to most gun crime. He doesn’t care, because the Left’s “gun control” agenda is not about making us safer. It is about destroying our ability to prevent the American government from becoming a dictatorship.

I am a mid-60’s American-born married male, primarily of European origin. During my life I’ve lived in three states and in rural, suburban and urban environments. I learned to shoot both long guns and hand guns as a Boy Scout, but I have never owned a gun or had one in my home as I never felt the need. Until now, I have aways felt that the local police were adequate to defend my family, property and myself on the home front and that the national leadership would do what was necessary to protect our country from attack by foreign powers.
Now I believe both assumptions are no longer valid. Police are now under attack from domestic agitators to the point where their attention to protecting the public from criminals is being undermined. Being second-guessed and intensely scrutinized by both social and mainstream mass media is causing police to be extra cautious in their attempt to capture and subdue criminals. The rights of the villains have now become more important to the media than that of their victims.
Nationally, our leadership refused to recognize that our country’s civilization is under attack from a type of barbarism not seen on this planet since the middle ages. The “Islamic extremists ” enemy is a term this administration refuses to speak, much like Voldemort was “He who must not be named” in the Harry Potter series.
Because of these heightened public safety risks, created in large part by the policies and practices of the current national administration, I now believe that it is more important than ever that Americans not only have the right to bear arms, but all should seriously consider doing so if, like me, they don’t have them already.
On my list of New Year’s resolutions is purchasing a gun and learning how to properly use it. I don’t think I’m alone.

Very well said.And,no,you are not alone.Gun sales have skyrocketed as normally trusting people no longer trust their fellow man.And with good reason.We have seen how little life means to the socialist statists who are infesting this country.
