My 2/4 Irish (both grandfathers), 1/4 English and 1/4 German ancestry approves this message and laughed hysterically. Somehow I missed out on the Irish drunken thing. I got drunk once in college, didn’t like it, and never repeated the experience. My younger brother did the same thing. Maybe it was the grandmothers. 🙂

I had the same experience — drank too much wine one evening, got tipsy, didn’t like the feeling, and never did it again. It’s probably because I’m a control freak and the feeling of being out of control was intensely unpleasant to me.
