MARCH FOR LIFE: Dearest and Mama Buzz are among the thousands marching for life. Currently texting good signs:
- “If bacteria is life on Mars, shouldn’t a heartbeat be life on Earth?”
- “Make womb for life.”
- “Conceived in Rape. I love my life.”
And good news … the Catholic University of America has canceled classes in order to free students and faculty to attend the march. Please pray for good weather and no violence!
NO FLY PELOSI: Trump told her U.S. Military resources will not be available during government shut down — Yesterday afternoon, President Trump canceled the military flight Speaker Pelosi had scheduled for a “public relations” trip to Afghanistan, Egypt, and Brussels. Pelosi and other lawmakers were on a bus en route to the airport when they got the message that Trump expected them to postpone the trip to negotiate with him about the government shut down, but that if they insisted on going, they were free to fly commercial on their own dimes.
Since the Shutdown began, the President has canceled planned travel and stayed in Washington, ready to make a deal. On the other side, Speaker Pelosi took a vacation to Hawaii days after the Shutdown began, and over 30 Democratic Members of Congress took a chartered flight to Puerto Rico for a retreat with lobbyists and corporate executives.
PELOSI’S ELITIST HISTORY: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has a long history of abusing military travel privileges, wasting the military’s time and taxpayer money with outrageous requests, last minute changes and cancellations, bringing members of her family aboard and serving them top shelf liquor. Yesterday, Andrea Mitchell tweeted, “What does it cost to fuel and prep a military 757 for congressional trip and leave it standing on the runway at JBA after @realDonaldTrump pulled the plug? Just asking.” Where was Andrea’s concern for fiscal responsibility back when Pelosi had military planes on reserve every week-end just in case she decided to go home? Just askin.
PELOSI TRIES TO SILENCE TRUMP: Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi tried to delay Trump’s SOTU speech by claiming the shutdown has made it impossible for Secret Service to ensure his security. Senior DHS official says the Secret Service is ready for President Trump’s State of the Union on January 29 and that no one from Nancy Pelosi’s office checked with the Secret Service before requesting the delay.
PELOSI AIN’T NO CHRISTIAN: No cheek turning for Ms. Morality on Her High Horse — House Democrats who tried to prevent Nancy Pelosi from getting elected Speaker are getting shut out of powerful committees.
BORDER: According to Rasmussen’s latest poll, Democrats are on the wrong side of Trump’s big, beautiful wall argument.
53% of Likely U.S. Voters SUPPORT a tightly control border and REJECT House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s charge that a wall is immoral.
Meanwhile, a new caravan of 2,000 migrants has left Honduras and made its way to Mexico. According to Fox News, Mexicans who live in border towns took to the Internet to lash out against another wave of migrants.
CORRUPTION: They knew the dossier was dirty before they used it to apply for the FISA warrant — In July and August 2016, then associate deputy attorney general Bruce Ohr briefed both senior FBI and DOJ officials about Christopher Steele’s Russia dossier, explicitly cautioning that the British intelligence operative’s work was opposition research connected to Hillary Clinton’s campaign and might be biased. Weeks afterwards, his warnings were pointedly omitted from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant application that got the FBI permission to spy on the Trump campaign. The dossier formed an essential part of the initial and three subsequent renewal FISA applications.
NO RELIGIOUS TESTS: Last month, Senators Kamala Harris, D-CA, and Mazie Hirono, D-HI, challenged judicial nominee Brian Buesche, saying he was unfit to serve as a federal judge because of his membership in the Knights of Columbus.
The Knights are not ‘extreme.’ They uphold the time-honored teachings of the Catholic Church shared by millions of Americans.
Thankfully, the U.S. Senate just unanimously passed a resolution authored by Sen. Ben Sasse, R-NE, that reaffirms the Constitution’s ban on such religious tests.
COURT VICTORY: Defunding Planned parenthood — The 5th Circuit Court said the State of Texas is permitted to cut funding to Planned Parenthood. The court noted that the undercover videos of a Planned Parenthood facility in Houston underwent forensic review and were not “deceptively edited” as had been repeated by media outlets all across the country. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton hailed the court victory: “Planned Parenthood’s reprehensible conduct, captured in undercover videos, proves that it is not a ‘qualified’ provider under the Medicaid Act.”
HYPOCRISY: Proctor and Gamble and Gillette decided this week to launch a new razor ad campaign that trashes men and “toxic” masculinity, particularly among white males. Before Gillette presumes to lecture American men on sexism maybe they need to look in the mirror. The company is notorious for showcasing smokin’ hot women in skintight clothing.
LATEST ABORTION POLL:
65% of Americans want the Supreme Court to revisit Roe in a substantial way. 75% support substantial restrictions on abortion.

LAST MAN STANDING: Tim Allen’s show Last Man Standing was canceled by ABC for being too conservative. Fox picked it up and it’s #1 in the all-important 18-49 demographic.
QUATS: New study shows they are toxic to mitochondria — Quaternary ammonium compounds (aka “quats”) are a class of more than 1500 chemicals that are used in personal care products. Many are used as antiseptic agents and preservatives, while others are used as “conditioning” agents in hair care, skin care, and fabric softener. A recent study tested a number of quats and found them to be toxic to the mitochondria in cells. Mitochondria are the “engine” of our cells helping to produce energy. In the last decade, researchers have looked to mitochondrial dysfunction as an underlying cause for several health problems, including cardiac diseases, diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and cancer. There is a list of the chemical names at the Bubble and Bee link below. The study cited is published at the second link.
WORD NERD: Teetotaler has nothing to do with tea — A teetotaler is someone who abstains completely from alcoholic beverages. The “tee” part originated from emphasizing the totality of the commitment. Like “I’m tired with a capital T.” Teetotalers abstained “totally with a capital T.”
