DEMOCRAT COLLUSION: Excerpts from John Solomon’s article at The Hill

Ukrainian law enforcement officials believe they have evidence of wrongdoing by American Democrats and their allies in Kiev, ranging from 2016 election interference to obstructing criminal probes.

They don’t trust FBI agents working in Ukraine, but they say they’ve been thwarted in trying to get the information to the Trump Justice Department.

Ukraine is infamous for corruption and disinformation operations. Consequently, allegations emanating from Kiev usually are taken with a grain a salt.

But the allegations have come from more than a half-dozen senior Ukrainian officials and are supported by:

  • Sworn statements from two Ukrainian officials admitting that their agency tried to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election in favor of Hillary Clinton.
  • Contacts between Democratic figures in Washington and Ukrainian officials that involved passing along dirt on Donald Trump.
  • Financial records showing a Ukrainian natural gas company routed more than $3 million to American accounts tied to Hunter Biden, younger son of then-Vice President Joe Biden.
  • Records that Vice President Biden pressured Ukrainian officials in March 2016 to fire the prosecutor who planned to interview Hunter Biden about the financial transfers.
  • Correspondence showing members of the State Department and U.S. embassy in Kiev interfered or applied pressure in criminal cases on Ukrainian soil.
  • Disbursements of as much as $7 billion in Ukrainian funds that prosecutors believe may have been misappropriated or taken out of the country, including to the United States.

Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko says he has enough evidence — particularly involving Biden, his family and money spirited out of Ukraine — to warrant a meeting with U.S. Attorney General William Barr.

“I’m looking forward to meeting with the attorney general of the United States in order to start and facilitate our joint investigation regarding the appropriation of another $7 billion in U.S. dollars with Ukrainian legal origin,” Lutsenko said.

Anthony Weiner

ANTHONY WEINER: Registered sex offender – The former Democrat Congressman and ex-husband of Hillary Clinton’s bestie, Huma Abedin, is due to be released on May 14th. He still faces three years of court supervision and must register as a sex offender for a minimum of 20 years. This will require him to verify his address every year, notify the state within 10 days of moving and visit a police station every three years to have a new picture taken. However, because of his low-level designation, he won’t show up in the state’s online sex offender registry, but will be available via a toll-free telephone number.

FETAL DEVELOPMENT AND GENDER: Boys and girls are born different – A new scientific study has found that pre-born babies’ brains show significant differences between sexes and thus before any parental or societal conditioning.

unplanned movie

UNPLANNED: Saw this on my Facebook feed from a friend – “just saw Unplanned. Go. Just go. It was good. The movie ended and no one moved. It was quiet and no one left until the credits were mostly over. The only other time I remember that happening was at The Passion of the Christ.” … I remember that unmoving audience thing happening after Charlie too. (Cliff Robertson playing lead in movie adaptation of “Flowers for Algernon.”)

KENTUCKY ULTRASOUND LAW: Apr 5, 2019 — A federal appeals court has upheld a Kentucky law requiring that abortion doctors show ultrasound images of the baby to the mother, describe the images on the screen, and play the sound of the fetus’ heartbeat.

“The statute in question was passed to ensure women have access to unbiased and medically sound information about abortion procedures and the unborn child in the womb before making an irreversible decision to have an abortion. The court held that this is a legitimate interest of the Commonwealth and that a doctor does not have a right to withhold such information.”

33 weeks

THIRTY-THREE WEEKS?! – Operation Rescue says Walter Hern’s notorious clinic in Boulder recently had to rush an 18-year-old abortion patient to the hospital. Her fetus was at 33 weeks gestation.

I do not understand how a woman can carry a child so long, then pay somebody to murder it. Why not just go to term and surrender the kid to a loving adoptive home?!

Late abortions are much riskier to the mother than delivering naturally. And they are expensive. I heard a nurse on an undercover video say it would be $17,000. And that doesn’t include the cost of travel to one of the six clinics in the country that does this heinous procedure or the necessary hotels, meals, and local travel (taxis or whatever) for the minimum of four days it will take to kill the baby, then deliver the corpse.

Abortion advocates would like us to believe that abortions this late are only done for rare and serious fetal anomalies. But if late term abortions are so rare, then how can six late term clinics stay in business? And if the baby’s going to die anyway, why not let it have however many weeks it can continue to live in utero?

Operation Rescue has been collecting data on this stuff for decades. Their president, Troy Newman, says, “We have evidence that teens seek late-term abortions because of denial, fear of others finding out, or even not wanting to miss out on a special event.”

Denial I get. Special event? Sheesh. I read about one teen who wanted them to kill her baby so she could compete in the barrel race at the rodeo. Yeah. That’s a reason someone should die. Not. But fear of others finding out? That’s a stretch, given how big a girl’s belly gets after the half-way point and how expensive late abortions are.

Veil on crucifix

VEILED IMAGES: In U.S. Catholic churches, crosses and other images are covered with veils on the fifth Sunday of Lent (April 7, 2019).

  • Crosses remain covered until the end of the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion on Good Friday afternoon.
  • Images remain covered until the beginning of the Easter Vigil on Saturday evening.

Preparing for Easter

Families are also encouraged to imitate this practice and veil prominent religious images in their homes.

The veils to alert us of the special time that we are in and heighten our sense of anticipation for Easter Sunday. And the unveiling before the Easter Vigil is a great reminder of our own life on earth. We live in a “veiled” world, in exile from our true home. It is only through our own death that the veil is lifted and we are finally able to see the beauty of everything in our lives.

The photo is from the Buzzer’s home. Mama chose ribbon because she’s still unpacking and can’t find her fabric stash. I like the ribbon! I covered our crucifix with purple cloth and noticed it definitely catches my eye every time I walk past, so it’s working as intended.

This is the first year I’ve heard that families should veil images. I wish I’d known when the girls were growing up. I love all the Catholic-Christian stuff that helps us keep Christ present to us in our home.
