CHINA: On Friday afternoon the US and China announced they had reached a partial trade agreement that avoided the tariff hikes Trump had threatened to get the Chinese to the table. Stocks rallied on the news. The Dow was up 319 points at closing.
During the press conference China’s chief trade negotiator Liu He told reporters President Trump’s trade deal brings “peace and prosperity to the world.”
I’m expecting the Leftist Machine will either ignore this good news or else find yet another bogus way to be aghast and appalled by something Orange Man Bad has done.

COPS FOR TRUMP: Lt. Bob Kroll, Kroll, the president of the Minneapolis Police Federation, wore a bright red “Cops for Trump” T-shirt when he spoke at a Trump rally.
“The Obama administration and the handcuffing and oppression of police was despicable,” Kroll said. “The first thing President Trump did when he took office was turn that around.”
When President Barack Obama came to town, officers were allowed to stand behind him in uniform. But when the mayor found out Trump was coming, he announced that he wasn’t welcome and told police officers they were NOT allowed to wear their uniforms to the rally. The Minneapolis police union began selling the “Cops for Trump” shirts in protest. The proceeds are going to charity.
“Debate the facts with the left,” Kroll closed. “And when their facts don’t hold up for their debate, wait to be called a racist. That’s the easy way out, right? Label. The all-accepting left, ‘Everybody’s welcome here, if you think like we do.’”
Outside the rally, the “Love Trumps Hate” crowd showed their bottomless love for tolerance and their profound understanding of fascism by setting fire to MAGA hats, throwing urine on and punching anyone who looked like a Trump supporter, rushing at police calling them pigs, and chanting, “Nazi scum! Off our streets!”

CHOCOLATE: Our luxuries should not come at the expense and exploitation of children – The U.S. State Department estimates that 10,000 children are victims of trafficking or enslavement on cocoa farms in Ivory Coast, a country that produces 40 percent of the world’s chocolate supply.
We can’t change the system in person, but we can refuse to buy from companies that ignore the problem – Hershey, Mars, Nestle, ADM Cocoa, Godiva, Kraft.
We can also reward with our dollars those companies that do not exploit children, which include Green and Black’s, The Endangered Species Chocolate Company, Gardners Candie, Rapunzel Pure Organics, Cloud Nine, Giddy Yoyo, Chocosol, Clif Bar, Koppers Chocolate, L.A. Burdick Chocolates, Denman Island Chocolate, Montezuma’s Chocolates, Newman’s Own Organics, Kailua Candy Company, Omanhene Cocoa Bean Company.
I was very glad to see Endangered Species on the good list, cuz that’s our favorite!

PLANT A TREE INSTEAD: Balloons kill animals in the air, on the ground, and in our oceans. Mylar balloons can get caught in power lines and start fires. Want a memorial? Plant a tree.

GRAMMY NOTES: From Mama Buzz to all of us – “My house smells so delicious! We decided to take food to a family with a kid in the hospital, so I made lasagna, peas, and brownies. And I remembered to get packages of plates, plastic ware, napkins, and disposable containers for the food, so they don’t have to worry about returning anything. Wow, I’m really tootin’ my own horn! LOL Anyway, please say some prayers for them.”
My reply to all – “Your loving and thoughtful gift to this family will be remembered forever! So often when I take my big spaghetti pot out of the cupboard, I remember the day, back when I was first diagnosed and really struggling, some friends came by with that pot … and a bag of groceries … and a check! They had dedicated their garage sale to our family! They knew I needed a big pot for canning, since organic produce was not available out of season back then. So the pot came first, then groceries, then the leftover in cash. Thank you all for growing up to be such beautiful women, not just on your faces, but most importantly, in your minds and hearts. We are both SO proud of you all and feel deeply humbled that God chose us to be your parents.”
