The hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin cocktail is producing impressive results.
- One doctor in Monroe, New York has treated more than 700 patients with it. He’s lost zero patients, has not had to intubate any, and only two have required hospitalization. Another doctor in New York City has treated more than 100, with zero deaths.
- Infected patients who take the cocktail are going from symptomatic to zero virus in 5-6 days. Without, this can take weeks.
- The cocktail appears to help prevent infection, making it an important weapon for health care professionals working with infected patients.
- France and Italy have both approved use of the drugs for COVID-19. India’s public health guidance has gone a step further, recommending physicians and front line medical workers take it as a preventative.
- Seven different American pharmaceutical companies have agreed to mass produce as much as 250 million doses by mid-April. Bayer, Novartis and Teva Pharm stepped up, pledging to donate several million doses right out of the chute. (So much for the “greed” of Big Pharma.)

NATIONAL GUARD: About 15,000 National Guard members have been deployed to help with state and national COVID-19 missions. These include working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to increase medical capacity, delivering food in hard-hit communities and providing support and symptoms screening to testing facilities, along with providing transportation and assessment support to health-care providers.
MEDIA MALPRACTICE: Democrats with Bylines are so Trump deranged that they can’t bring themselves to give us the accurate information we need and deserve. Here are two recent examples.
Vox published this absurdity. The White House Coronavirus Task Force says we’ve done a marvelous job during the first 15 days. In their estimation, we have saved thousands of lives. I trust Dr. Birx and Dr. Fauci a lot; I trust Vox not at all. In full disclosure, I took the Vox screenshot off Pocket, but did not click on the link. Websites get ad money based on clicks; I refuse to help support liars.
CBS was more interested in presenting New York hospitals as “war zones” than in publishing the truth. Why should we believe anything they say?
NEW YORK: New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio warned religious leaders that their places of worship could be shut down permanently if they did not follow the city’s order to stop holding services during the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has blamed the president and the federal government for the lack of beds and ventilators in his state. But, the power to determine the number of these critical medical supplies in New York hospitals is the governor’s job.
New York, along with 35 other states and the District of Columbia, have in place what are known as certificate-of-need (CON) laws that dictate everything from how many beds a hospital is allowed to have to whether or not it can purchase more devices. States with CON laws have longer wait times and a 2.5% to 5% higher mortality rate than states that do not have these burdensome regulations.
In 2015, Gov. Cuomo was told that the state’s stockpile of medical equipment had 16,000 fewer ventilators than New Yorkers would need in a severe pandemic. Instead of buying the machines, he had his health commissioner assemble a task force and draft rules for rationing the ventilators they already had.
PELOSI LIES: During an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, “[Trump’s] denial at the beginning was deadly,” and as he “fiddles, people are dying.“
Sen. Lindsey Graham, the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, called this the “most shameful, disgusting statement by any politician in modern history.”
No kidding!
On January 29th, President Trump created the White House Coronavirus Task Force to coordinate the federal government’s response to the virus outbreak and to keep the American people as informed as possible.
And on January 31, President Trump formally declared coronavirus to be a public health emergency and he implemented a ban on travel from China to the United States. Dr. Fauci said the travel ban resulted in relatively few cases getting to us from China.
Democrats took time off from their pointless Ukraine impeachment hoax to accuse him of being “hysterical xenophobia” and “fearmongering.”
But that is all they did.
Their first hearing on the coronavirus was not until February 5th.
SHILLARY: She Who Did Not Win sent out a snarky “dunk on Trump” tweet that, as per usual for Dumbocrats, misrepresented the facts. Way to revel in our mass-infection and -death event, Sore Loser.
