Biden-Ukraine Scandal Update

Yesterday, John Solomon reported that District Court Judge S. V. Vovk (Kiev, Ukraine) has ordered that the previously identifiedunnamed American citizenin Viktor Shokin’s case will now be designated ascitizen of the United States of America Joseph Biden, former U.S. Vice President.”

Shokin’s case began last February, when the court ordered the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigations to investigate Shokin’s claim that he was forced to resign in spring 2016 because then-VP Biden had pressured his government to get rid of him.

In the one minute 2018 video above, Joe Biden bragged at a Council on Foreign Relations event that he had succeeded in getting Shokin removed by threatening to withhold $1 Billion in loan guarantees the Ukrainians desperately needed.

I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion.’ I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a bitch, he got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time.”

Interviews with a half-dozen senior Ukrainian officials confirm Biden’s account, though they claim the pressure was applied over several months in late 2015 and early 2016, not over six hours within one dramatic day.

Recently released recordings of the telephone conversations Biden had with then-President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, about the matter confirm this timeline.

The following video lines up the phone calls in which the arm twisting was discussed. Note the change of dates as the phone calls are sequenced. Also note how coherent Biden was then compared with how he sounds now.

At the beginning, then-Secretary of State John Kerry tells Poroshenko to get on board with the firing of Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

At 4:18ff, Poroshenko reassures Biden that, despite the fact that they have no evidence of wrong-doing by Shokin whatsoever, he has asked for and received Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin’s resignation.

At 8:00ff, Biden says, “Congratulations on installing the new Prosecutor General. It’s going to be critical for him to work quickly to repair the damage Shokin did. And I’m a man of my word. Now that the new Prosecutor General is in place, we’re ready to move forward to signing that new one billion loan guarantee.”

At 9:00ff, Poroshenko reiterates that he really had not wanted to twist Shokin’s arm to get him to resign and that he had gotten resistance from his own people over it.

At 11:10ff, Poroshenko says, “I want to thank you that you give me your word that immediately when we change the legislation and we appoint the new Prosecutor General, and it would be Yuriy Lutsenko as we agreed on our previous meeting in Washington, and when it happen, we can have this loan guarantee.”

The Slime Stream Media is reacting predictably with shrieks about “doctored tapes.”

But Joe Biden SAID it happened. What the tapes reveal is that Joe lied about the timeline in his boastful brag, that Poroshenko was unhappy about being forced to screw over a fellow Ukrainian who had done nothing wrong, and that both President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry were in on the arm twisting.

The only real question is not IF it happened, but WHY it happened.

A year ago, John Solomon reported that there was one crucial piece of information that Biden must have known that he didn’t mention to his audience. That is, that Shokin was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into the natural gas firm, Burisma Holdings. Here’s why this would have mattered to Biden, Kerry and Obama:

  1. In February 2014, President Obama named Biden the administration’s point man on Ukraine.
  2. From spring 2014 through fall 2015, the Ukrainian natural gas company, Burisma Holdings, sent large, monthly payments to an American-based firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC.
  3. Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC, was an international private equity firm that was co-owned by Hunter Biden (son of Obama’s VP Joe) and Chris Heinz (step-son of Obama’s SecState John Kerry). A mutual friend, Devon Archer, was a “Managing Partner.”
  4. On April 16, 2014, White House records show that Devon Archer made a private visit to the White House for a meeting with Vice President Biden.
  5. Five days later, on April 21, 2014, Joe Biden landed in Kiev for a series of high-level meetings with Ukrainian officials, bringing with him news that the United States and the International Monetary Fund would be pumping more than $1 billion into the Ukrainian economy.
  6. The next day, on April 22, 2014, there was a public announcement that Archer had been asked to join the board of Burisma.
  7. Three weeks after that, on May 13, 2014, it was announced that Hunter Biden would join, too.
  8. Biden and Archer began receiving large monthly payments from Burisma, despite having no background or experience in the energy sector.

John Solomon’s April 2019 report says that, before he was forced to resign, Viktor Shokin had made “specific plans” for the Burisma investigation that “included interrogations and other crime-investigation procedures into all members of the executive board, including Hunter Biden.”

As soon as Lutsenko took over, the Burisma investigation abruptly ended.

But then, last year, as Biden’s campaign for president ramped up, Lutsenko stuck his nose back into the Burisma case. He told Solomon that he wanted to give the information he had found to Trump’s U.S. Attorney General William Barr.

Solomon’s April 2019 report also says that federal authorities in America had uncovered the Burisma payments to Rosemont Seneca while investigating an entirely different case. Their records show that, between April 2014 and October 2015, Burisma paid more than $3 million to Rosemont Seneca.

In September 2019, President Trump talked with the new president of Ukraine. Among other things, he said:

2020_05 20 trump ukraine

The Democrat-majority House of Representatives was far more concerned with the alleged abuse of power on the part of President Trump than they ever have been with Joe Biden’s self-admitted abuse of power. They launched their smarmy impeachment investigation in September.

In early 2020, just when the COVID-19 pandemic was getting underway, Democrats were totally obsessed with their attempts to get the Senate to convict Trump and remove him from office. They failed.

Back in April 2019, investigative reporter John Solomon posed these questions. To my knowledge, nobody has yet made a serious attempt to get Joe Biden to answer any of them.

Was it appropriate for your son and his firm to cash in on Ukraine while you served as point man for Ukraine policy? What work was performed for the money Hunter Biden’s firm received? Did you know about the Burisma probe? And when it was publicly announced that your son worked for Burisma, should you have recused yourself from leveraging a U.S. policy to pressure the prosecutor who very publicly pursued Burisma?
