GOP Convention: Day One

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) spoke on the first night of the Republican National Convention on Aug. 24, 2020.

Growing up, he had to cross the street if a White person was coming. He suffered the indignity of being forced out of school as a third grader to pick cotton, and never learned to read or write. Yet, he lived to see his grandson become the first African American to be elected to both the United States House and Senate. Our family went from Cotton to Congress in one lifetime. And that’s why I believe the next American century can be better than the last.”

Maximo Alvarez fled Cuba with his parents at the age of 13 when Fidel Castro and his communist regime took over the island. Tissue alert!

Andrew Pollack’s daughter Meadow was one of the students killed during the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida in 2018. Tissue alert!

Kim Klacik is a Baltimore Republican who is running for Congress.

Herschel Walker has been a close personal friend to Donald J. Trump for 30 years. “It hurts my soul to hear the terrible names people call him. The worst one is ‘racist.‘”

Nick Sandmann talked about how the hatred of the Left ruined his life.

The Left Stream Media disgust me. Everybody has seen the video of the far from peaceful protesters swarming past the gate and on to the McCloskeys’ property, demanding entrance to their home.

But, once again, the Slimers in the Left Stream Media referred to the McCloskeys as “that St Louis couple who brought out their rifles as Black Lives Matter protesters peacefully marched through their community.

Another speaker, Nick Sandmann, was referred to as another “disgraced” individual who “who interacted with the elder native American in DC.”

Again, we’ve all seen the videos showing that the Native American activist deliberately got up in to 16-year-old Nick’s face while his cohorts created distorted video of a young man attempting to be polite.

Sandmann has also won multiple lawsuits for defamation during the weeks after the incident when the media inflamed the nation against him and his school by depicting them as intolerant racists.
