Fact Check

Analysis of this meme and a copy of the VP debate transcript are at the USA Today link below. The exact quotes in the graphic never happened. And, since the meme has those words in quotation marks, that is problematic.

HOWEVER, the sentiments expressed are absolutely accurate, as anyone who has watched the differences between GOP and Dem states’ responses to COVID-19 knows well.

Kamala’s blather about how the Trump administration kept us poor little citizens in the dark is absurd, as anyone who watched the Task Force Briefings also knows well.

One big thing struck me in those briefings. President Trump stayed on for long periods of time until every single reporter had asked every single question. Then he got criticized for staying too long and supposedly making it all about him.

But during those long Q&A sessions, almost all of the reporters seemed to have only one agenda, which was NOT to understand the information, so they could inform the public. It was to find something they could criticize Trump about when they did their reports.

I read a lot of Walk Away stories. Many of them are from formerly lifelong Democrats who got all their news from the MSM, believed it all, and HATED Trump. But they wanted info on the virus, so they watched the briefings and discovered that Trump is not a politician. Many say, “He talked like me.” They also learned that he’s very intelligent and funny.

After watching the briefings, these same people would watch their usual news source and not even recognize the reported event as the one they’d watched. Then, since they had lots of TIME on their hands with the quarantine, they’d deep dive into researching other issues and end up FURIOUS that they had been lied to their whole lives and ASHAMED that it took them so long to wise up.
