2022: CLICK https://rumble.com/vsg1yj-mccarthy-vows-to-kick-radical-dems-off-committees-after-gop-takes-back-hous.html [5:52] to hear Hannity report on McCarthy’s promises for 2023 if the GOP takes majority control of the House.

BABYLON BEE: To achieve the strongest COVID immunity possible, you should be fully vaccinated, then get a booster, then get a second booster, then get a third booster, and then get COVID. Pfizer is contributing to the fight for immunity with an expensive new service that just sends someone to your door to sneeze in your face.

BOSTON: Public schools are required to leave the windows open 4 INCHES, supposedly to protect students from the ‘rona. One school wrote to parents, “It is still very cold. Remember the windows in our classrooms have to be open. I suggest layering your child’s clothes (2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts and a sweater, 2 pairs of socks, etc. (Plus all their outerwear (hat, glove, scarf, etc.).

COLORADO: A moose that was grazing near a house in Breckenridge, Colorado, fell down a window well into the basement of the house. They tried opening doors to encourage the critter to leave on its own, but it couldn’t negotiate the stairs. Finally, officers from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Breckenridge Police Department, Blue River Police Department and the Red, White & Blue Fire and EMS had to tranq the behemoth, cut its antlers off and carry it out. Moose antlers typically fall off this time of year, so it will grow new antlers in the spring.

I wonder if homeowner’s insurance covers invasion by moose, cuz that ping pong table and the carpet covered with stressed moose poo both look like they’re toast.

HISPANICS: Overall approval for FAUXTUS was 33%, but among traditionally Democrat voting Hispanics, it was only 14%. Yoiks!

RNC Deputy Press Secretary Nicole Morales said, “Joe Biden has done nothing but hurt the Hispanic community and his approval rating reflects that. Hispanic voters overwhelmingly disapprove of Biden’s agenda of rising prices, skyrocketing crime, and an unsecure border. Joe Biden is losing the Hispanic vote because he just doesn’t care.”

INDOCTRINATION: At Penn State, students in a PoliSci class called “The Politics of Terrorism” have a must-do assignment to write about why the Taliban are not terrorists. “You are not allowed to answer this question in any other way. Any attempt to avoid answering this prompt as written; or trying to argue otherwise will result in a failing grade.”

KAREN: [2:17] – This reminds me of a time, back when I was a school bus driver. I had an ugly confrontation with a driver who had ignored the stop line and pulled right up to the curb. The stop lines are there so large vehicles can turn safely. Since a too narrow turn puts pedestrians at risk and I had the right of way, I pulled my bus right up to his bumper and sat there, waving at him to back up. Nobody was behind him, but instead of admitting his error and getting out of my way, he honked and hung out the window, bellowing curses at me … in my bus full of children. So classy. When I finished my route, I asked my boss if I’d done the right thing. He said, “Absolutely. But next time, instead of letting him cuss you to your face, just smile sweetly and wave, then turn around and chat with the kids.” LOL

MANDATES: After SCOTUS found FAUXTUS’ mandate unconstitutional, General Electric called it off. In Florida, Gov. DeSantis announced they will not be enforcing the health care worker vaxxx mandate that the Supremes upheld.

PRICE GOUGING: A judge has ruled that Martin Shkreli must return $64.6 million in profits he and his former company reaped from raising the price of the life-saving drug Daraprim. After obtaining exclusive rights to the decades-old drug in 2015, Shkreli jacked the price up from $13.50 to $750 per pill. Daraprim treats a rare parasitic disease that strikes pregnant women, cancer patients and AIDS patients.

TEXAS: The FBI and Texas authorities resolved an hours long hostage situation at a Dallas-Fort Worth area synagogue late Saturday when they killed the armed man who held four hostages, including a rabbi, reportedly demanding the release of a convicted terrorist whom U.S. officials once described as the “most wanted woman in the world.” The hostages are all alive and safe.

VFAUXTUS: Yeah. She really is this dumb.

VIRGINIA: [5:10] – VA Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears discusses Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s first executive orders in office and what she plans to accomplish for the state of Virginia. “I am the embodiment of everything we’re trying to achieve in America.

Meanwhile, Youngkin’s new Attorney General Jason Miyares had a busy first day, firing 30 staffers and announcing he’s going to investigate the Virginia State parole board and take cases away from Soros-backed DAs for prosecution.

VOLCANO: H/t to Mindful Webworker for the video.

GRAMMY NOTES: I always feel vaguely guilty when I only do one space, like Miss Fira, my high school typing teacher, will suddenly return from the grave to shake her finger at me.

  1. I also was taught typing the “right” way, two spaces between sentences.

Upon the arrival of the wwweb, it didn’t take me long to adapt to digital rules, though. Browsers are dumb. You could end up with two spaces being divided over a line-end.

Tech specs for HTML say browsers should “compress” strings of “white space.” So if you put two or twenty “spaces” in a row, it should show only one space, or, if the “white space” includes line-feeds (which we typists learned as “carriage return” ha ha ha), then the browser should show only one line-feed. Not sure how much all browsers adhere to these rules, but them’s the specs.

Test: five spaces between quotes: ” ” – how’s it look to you?

One space between quotation marks. 😉

Carriage return … suddenly flashed on an old memory of my mom’s budgie riding the carriage return lever while she worked. LOL
