POLAND: About 1 million Ukrainians have crossed into Poland to escape the war and the response of ordinary Polish people has been astounding. A recent survey found that more than 90% of Poles support admitting them, with 65% saying they are willing to help them personally. And help they are – hosting Ukrainians in their apartments, driving them to places, or simply giving them money to cover basic needs. Restaurants and stores around the country give Ukrainians discounts, while many services are provided for free.

On Sunday, the People’s Convoy of U.S. truckers arrived on the outskirts of Washington, D.C. The convoy, reportedly five miles long, drove a circuit around the capital and has plans to do so again Monday.

Russia says that any country that tries to impose a no-fly zone over Ukraine or offers the use of its airfields to Ukraine’s military for attacks on Russian assets could be considered as having entered the conflict.

Visa has announced that cards issued outside of Russia will no longer work inside of Russia.

Mastercard has announced that cards issued by Russian banks will no longer be supported and that cards issued outside of russia will no longer work at Russian merchants or ATMs.

TikTok has announced it will suspend uploads from Russia.
