1A: When a senior living center banned Bible studies, a resident reached out to the ACLJ. All it took was for them to send a legal demand letter for the center to back down. Bible studies are back.

EVOLUTION: I saw a tweet that said, “My kid just asked: do caterpillars know they are going to become butterflies or do they just build themselves a coffin and wake up pleasantly surprised?

If you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to watch Illustra Media’s amazing documentary, Metamorphosis. It’s available at the link on DVD, Blu-ray, iTunes Stream, Amazon Prime, or Video on Demand.

Atheistic evolutionists mock us for believing Jesus could have risen from the dead, because “that can’t happen.” Well … at least my theology can account for both the resurrection of Jesus and the metamorphosis of caterpillars into butterflies. Theirs can’t do either.

EVs: Ford CEO Jim Farley reports on his experience trying to take a cross-country road trip in the Ford electric F-150. When using a low-speed charger, it took about 40 minutes for it to charge the electric F-150’s battery to 40 percent. “It was a really good reality check of the challenges of what our customers go through and the importance of fast charging and what we’re going to have to do to improve the charging experience.”

NEBRASKA: In the year since Dobbs overturned Roe, reporting on abortion issues has become less and less accurate. Currently, media outlets are reporting that a 17-year-old was sentenced to jail for obtaining a late-term abortion. The facts are just a wee bit different.

Both the girl and her mother were charged with one felony each for removing, concealing, or abandoning a body and with two misdemeanors each for concealing the death of another person and for false reporting to police. Despite having pleaded guilty to a felony, the girl was sentenced to just 90 days and will be out in 50 if she behaves herself.

The story is grotesque. At first, the girl and her mother told police she had miscarried and that they buried to child’s body on farmland belonging to a family friend. Later, it came out that the mother had gotten abortion pills online and, after the birth, placed the 29-week-old fetus in a garbage bag and buried it, then dug it up and buried it somewhere else. Then, they dug it up again and tried to burn it, which didn’t work, so they buried it a third time.

Police said it wasn’t clear if the baby had actually been born dead or if it had suffocated in the garbage bag. In addition to showing an appalling disregard for the life and remains of her grandchild, the mother also put her daughter’s life in danger. The abortion pills she bought online are only meant for ending pregnancies that are less than 10 weeks along. Due to the dangers of taking the drug without the supervision of a physician, a recent court decision has barred online sales.

SAN FRAN: Dept. of Health and Human Services employees have been told to work from home, because the streets conditions around the Nancy Pelosi Federal Building are so drug- and crime-ridden.
