PRAY FOR PEACE: Catholic and Orthodox bishops have declared Tuesday, October 17, to be a worldwide day of fasting, prayer, and abstinence for peace. October 17 is the feast of St. Ignatius of Antioch, a first-century martyr and Church Father. A disciple of John the Apostle, he was sentenced to death in 107 for refusing to renounce the Christian faith. While he was being taken to Rome to be brutally devoured by wild beasts in a public spectacle, he wrote seven letters of encouragement, instruction and inspiration to fellow Christians which are still treasured today.

VAXXX: A study entitled “Potential Autoimmunity Resulting from Molecular Mimicry between SARS-CoV-2 Spike and Human Proteins” was published on June 23, 2022 in the Special Issue of Virus Bioinformatics 2022. It reported that the spike proteins on the surface of the COVID-19 virus share structural similarities to human proteins that could trigger autoimmune disorders like arthritis, vasculitis, lupus, and adult-onset Still’s disease.

WH SPOX: Multiple times in recent weeks, KJP has been called out for ignoring specific reporters. Last week, when reporter Jalil Afridi of Pakistan’s The Frontier Post was called on, he asked if he could have two questions since she had not called on him in four months. GRAMMY NOTES: I had a gastro appointment on Tuesday for my never-ending gut issues, which resulted in a diagnostic diet that we thought would put the kibosh on our usual anniversary fancy-foods celebration. But my guy is so good … he took the diet sheet to Wegman’s and hunted down a delicious meal and dessert for us that fit the OK foods list! After eating, we said a rosary in thanksgiving for our amazing marriage and family, then watched a movie. It was perfect. ❤
