CALIFORNICATION: In another example of our culture’s decline, a San Diego middle schooler who painted his face to show school spirit at a football game has been banned forever from attending any more school sporting events. The reason cited in the paperwork: “intent to harm.”

The 13-year-old did not cause any disruptions at the game and neither he nor his parents had any idea there was a problem (however specious) until they were called on the carpet because he painted black on his face, so therefore it was a deliberately racist act.

The student told the principal he didn’t know what “blackface” was. Here’s the dictionary definition: “dark makeup worn to mimic the appearance of a Black person and especially to mock or ridicule Black people.” As in, not dark makeup worn to express one’s team spirit.
