In other news, Ron DeSantis’ biggest donor, real estate tycoon Robert Bigelow, has switched his support to Trump, in part because the security threat posed by the unrest in the Middle East requires the “strongest commander” and the former president is the obvious choice.

CATHOLIC: The Magisterium has consistently taught that deliberate bodily mutilation and homosexual acts are gravely sinful. And the Catholic Rite of Baptism requires the parents and godparents to promise to raise the child in the Catholic faith. So don’t ask me why Pope Francis has decided that homosexual couples can have their children baptized and that transgender individuals can be godparents even “when a purpose of amendment does not appear in a fully manifest way.” Cuz, all I can say is … we’ve had bad popes before. ::sigh::
On the plus side, the African bishops who took part in the synod in Rome last month held the line on the Church’s teaching on marriage as “a union between a man and a woman.” Cameroon Archbishop Andrew Nkea Fuanya of Bemenda said anything that departs from that teaching as “witchcraft.” Fuanya also said the pressure from the African bishops resulted in documents being “moderated” with “certain words that were very political” taken out.
