CATHOLIC: Nationwide, undergraduate college enrollment have dropped 8% from 2019 to 2022. However, in those Catholic colleges that boast a traditional curriculum enrollments are up by that much and more. Patrick Reilly, founder of The Cardinal Newman Society said, “These colleges are traditional and countercultural at a time when most of American education is corrupted and on a path of self-destruction.“

COLORADO: A 2nd District Court judge has ordered the state secretary to put former President Donald Trump on the primary ballot. Despite stating her belief that both that the events on Jan. 6, 2021 constituted an “insurrection” and that President Trump “engaged” in it, she ruled that “Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment does not apply.” The amendment was passed after the Civil War. Section 3 was included to prevent officials who left to join the Confederacy from returning to office.

RIP: Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, a passionate champion of mental health, caregiving, and women’s rights, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2:10 p.m. at her home in Plains, Georgia, at the age of 96. She died peacefully, with family by her side. She leaves behind her husband, who is 99.
STATINS: My primary wants me to start taking a statin to reduce my risk of heart attack and stroke. I love the man, seriously, but I think he hasn’t yet embraced the fact that other people in the health care industry do not have his patients’ best interests in mind. I know it will annoy him, but I have been doing a deep dive into statin (and alternatives) research. I am not, repeat not going to make any recommendations or suggestions about what anyone else should do. However, I am going to be sharing dribs and drabs of what I find out.
