GRAMMY NOTES: Back when I was a school bus driver, I paid extra every month to have a reserved parking space in the apartment’s covered carport area. It saved me having to scrape off the car on the mornings when I had to get up at zero dark thirty to go haul kids to school. One wintry night, I finally got home at 11 pm after a grueling 19 hour day doing multiple school runs, followed by an away game. Since I had to be up again at 6 am to do it all over again, I hope you can imagine (and forgive) my utter wrath at discovering that whoever had done the plowing and/or snow blowing in the parking area had FILLED my parking spot with snow! When I went to the super to complain, he tried to hand me a snow shovel. I’m only 5’4”, so was not much of a threat to the linebacker-built super. But I kinda think there may have been actual flames coming out my ears. It was not my finest “turn the other cheek” hour, but at least nobody every filled my parking space with snow again.
