Fran Itkoff (90) has been volunteering for the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society for sixty years. Over that time, she has received multiple awards for her hard work and dedication.
She recently received a letter from the volunteer manager that said her service to the organization was no longer welcome, because she had failed to “abide by our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion guidelines.” She says she merely asked someone what it meant to use someone’s pronouns. It’s interesting how much more lucid this 90-year-old woman is than our 82-year-old president.

However, none of the above matters to the misconduct charge. The simple fact, that the District Attorney of Fulton County, Georgia, entered into a sexual relationship with an employee, is undisputed and, IMO, enough to require her to resign. This is especially true given that, during her campaign, she specifically swore that she does not, will not, and would not date anyone who works under her.

The DOJ wants the statute abolished, because it is “based on outdated science and misguided assumptions. This lawsuit reflects the Justice Department’s commitment to ensuring that people living with HIV are not targeted because of their disability.” HIV is an incurable, sexually transmitted disease that, with aggressive treatment, has a fatality rate of about 4.7%.
