Bits & Bytes

2A: One June 14, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) exceeded its authority when it decided that a semiautomatic rifle equipped with a bump stock is a machine gun.

FAUXTUS: We are not safe. [6:25] – Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy recalled an ‘awkward’ moment he had with President Biden ‘behind-the-scenes’ at the White House. The ‘Outnumbered’ panel discusses concerns over the president’s mental acuity at the G7 with Russian warships 100 miles off the coast of Florida.

SCIENCE: A study entitled “Size Matters? Penis Dissatisfaction and Gun Ownership in America” was published in the American Journal of Men’s Health on May 31, 2024. It debunked the oft-told myth that men own guns to compensate for their lack of masculine attributes. In fact, researchers found that men who are dissatisfied with the size of their penises are less likely to own guns.

TESLA: Back in 2018, 73% of Tesla’s shareholders voted to give Elon Musk shares worth about 12% of the company if, and only if, he hit several revenue milestones. If he failed, he’d get nothing. He not only succeeded, but even exceeded those goals and received the stock.

One envious boo-hooer, a guy who owns all of 9 shares in the company, sued, and in January of this year, an activist Delaware judge voted in his favor, saying the value of the stock was “unfathomable” and “unfair to shareholders.”

This month, Tesla shareholders reinstated the bonus. They also voted to move the company … and all of its tax revenue … from Delaware to Texas. So, judge, tell me … was your ruling fair to the taxpayers of Delaware?

  1. “Just because you can’t see the air…”

You can’t see it directly, but you can see it moving clouds, smoke, and the leaves on the trees. Without it, or when it’s thin, you’ll suffer.

You can feel it as a gentle, refreshing breeze, or soak in its humidity when stagnant.

And if you are very quiet and receptive… sometimes, it whips you around in a whirlwind.

    Theologimetaphorically speaking. 😜
