Bits & Bytes

2024: Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Jaime Harrison says Harris has a majority of votes from all convention delegates and will be the nominee of Democratic Party.

In other election news, Trump and Harris have agreed to a debate.

CORPORATE RULE: I’m beginning to think the tin-foil-hatters may be on to something about their idea that giant corporations are out to rule the world. I just saw this headline: “Amazon Says It Profits as Brick-and-Mortar Stores Lock Up Products to Curb Theft.” I recall similar headlines about Amazon and Wal*Mart during the COVID lockdowns.

HUNTER: A federal judge has set Hunter Biden’s sentencing date for Nov. 13 in Delaware. Hunter was found guilty on three gun charges after a six-day jury trial in June.

GRAMMY NOTES: Bootz did an art project with his home schooling mama teacher. They made this really FUN page for their stamp album. Hand-written on the background are some fun facts about pears and the stamp in the upper left corner features the 1971 Partridge in a Pear Tree U.S. Christmas stamp.

FYI: The sheets of pear stamps are still for sale. Since the USPS went to FOREVER stamps, the small denomination, extra postage stamps don’t sell. This one is only $2 for the whole sheet and it makes such a pretty page for a stamp collection.
