LEBANON: On September 17, some 2,800 people were injured when their pagers exploded. Eight more were killed. Most people injured in the mass pager explosions sustained injuries to their hands. The exact reason for the rash of exploding pagers is unclear, but many (most? all?) of the injured were members of Hezbollah. If Mossad did this, kudos for ingenuity and restraint. Talk about your “surgical strike.”

SHRILLARY: Just one day after the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump, Her Royal Bitterness got on MSNBC with Rachel Maddow and said, “The press needs to create a consistent narrative about how dangerous Trump is. He is a danger to our country and world.”

And, as she resurrected the Russian election interference narrative, she suggested that people who engage in wrongspeak should be civilly or criminally charged. Bless her heart. Just never you mind that silly First Amendment thing or that it was she and her campaign who financed the Russia! Russia! Russia! hoax.

She says, “I don’t want to talk about that stuff.” Then she yammers while he’s trying to talk and interrupts over and over. He stays calm. It’s beautiful.

On Monday, Republican Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that the wave of bomb threats against the town of Springfield, Ohio, have all been hoaxes. “Thirty-three threats; Thirty-three hoaxes,” DeWine said during a press conference in Springfield. “I want to make that very, very clear. None of these had any validity at all.”  He also noted that some originated from one specific foreign country, but declined to name it.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for Bash to apologize to Vance for blaming him for the bomb threats.

THEY’RE EATING THE CATS: Nick Freitas said, “This week, the Left is saying, ‘Nobody is eating anyone’s pets. This means we are one week away from, ‘Why do you care that people are eating pets?’ and three weeks away from, ‘Why eating pets is a good thing’ and ‘Refusing to eat pets is white supremacy.‘” He’s off by a couple of weeks. I saw the headline above in my “Recommended For You” feed yesterday.

KAMALA BUCKS: Her plan for fixing the economy is to encourage people to care about their lawns.

VANCE: This is his first public statement following the second assassination attempt. [3:22] – I have never stopped speaking to anyone because they got a COVID shot or voted for a Democrat. I cannot say the same for some of my former friends and estranged relatives. For me, this problem isn’t new. It started way back during GW Bush’s presidency when people cut me off because I supported the war in Iraq. For my theater major daughter, it began even earlier she enlisted in the Army halfway through her senior year. Her peers and professors, people who had been close to her, known and admired her for three and a half years, cut her off dead. They didn’t talk with her about her decision. They just stopped talking to her. I’ve said it before and I’ll keep on saying it until I die. We are not like them.

WISCONSIN: On Monday, a judge ruled that RFK Jr. may not withdraw his name from the state’s ballots. According to Wisconsin statutes, once a candidate files valid nomination papers, they must remain on the ballot unless they die.

GRAMMY NOTES: When Mama Buzz was about 4, I accidentally walked in on her while she was using the toilet. She shrieked, “Get Out! I NEED my primacy!” This still cracks me up nearly 40 years later, because she is still really into being first born.
