CATHOLIC: This polyglot padre can hear confessions in six different languages!

CHICOMS: When my brother lived in Beijing in 1985-1986, he said the government had menstrual monitors who kept track of every women’s cycle. If a woman who had no permit to conceive was late to menstruate, she got sent off for a suction abortion.

The resulting population decline resulted in the dictatorial government changing its one child per couple rule to two children. Now I think they’re at three. But the citizens who are currently in their childbearing years grew up in a world where no one they knew had a sibling or more than one or two aunts, uncles, or cousins.

In short, they’re finding it distasteful to have more than one child. But you can’t keep halving the population every 20-30 years and expect to maintain the level of development your culture has achieved. So the idiot dictator now has people calling women to find out if they are pregnant yet and, if not, when are they going to get a round tuit.

COVID CRIMES: A newly released book called The Pfizer Papers reveals that Pfizer’s own documents prove the Big Pharma company and the FDA knew by November 2020 that the mRNA ‘rona vaccine was neither safe nor effective.

In other medical crime news, six former San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) workers who were fired for refusing the jab have won a group settlement of $7.8 million. The federal jury determined that BART had failed to prove that it suffered an undue hardship by denying accommodations to the ex-employees in the case.

INDULGENCES: [9:49] – I just downloaded an English translation of Martin Luther’s “95 Theses.” At the time he did this, he was a faithful Catholic priest who was merely looking to get certain individuals to stop the sinful practice of selling indulgences.

Caveat: The Catholic Church does not now nor has it ever approved the sale of indulgences. This is to be distinguished from the undeniable fact that individual Catholics (perhaps the best known of them being the German Dominican Johann Tetzel [1465-1519]) did sell indulgences – but in doing so they acted contrary to explicit Church regulations. This practice is utterly opposed to the Catholic Church’s teaching on indulgences, and it cannot be regarded as a teaching or practice of the Church.

All of Luther’s 95 Theses deal with this one issue. A number of them also show great respect for the papacy, making it clear that Luther was not – at that time – splitting from or spitting on the Catholic Church. That only came later, after certain German princes decided he was a useful idiot (sorry, my words) that they could exploit for political gain.

I want to recommend reading them to you. Some of them sound exactly like the Christians who nowadays rightly condemn so-called Christians who “do not distribute them* freely but only gather them.” [Thesis #57]

*Them: Luther was referring to those who sold indulgences. I think we can easily see in that “them” the type of glitzy televangelists and mega church pastors who regularly call out to Christians to “give to Jesus and you will be blessed” … then spend the money on mansions and private jets, etc.

MINIATURE LIFE: Wonderful artist here! If you’re interested in just the art work, the 2024 calendar is on sale at Amazon for $12. Next year’s is $27. There is also a small desktop one for $7. Go to Amazon and put MINIATURE LIFE CALENDAR in the search box.

PSA: On September 2, Not The Bee reported that some banks’ ATMs have developed a “glitch” whereby you can withdraw funds before the bank has had a chance to verify your check deposit is legit. One guy deposited a fraudulent “check” for $335,000, then withdrew $290,940 before … oops … getting caught. Being allowed to withdraw funds immediately isn’t a glitch. It’s a privilege. The banks in question are filing charges and the criminals are being arrested.

SCOTUS: Woohoo!! The Supremes have ruled 6-3 in favor of allowing the State of Virginia to purge resident illegals from their voter rolls ahead of the Nov. 5 election!! The three liberals (you can guess which ones they are) didn’t bother to explain their legal justification for siding with the Biden/Harris administration’s efforts to allow non-citizens to vote.
