In other stupid news, Oregon (55.3% Harris/Walz) just announced it has adopted a Climate Protection Program aimed at cutting fossil fuel pollution by 90% by 2050. Translation: Oregon increases its efforts to reduce its population and tax base by driving industry and jobs elsewhere.

FAUXTUS: Alleged Catholic and President Joe Biden gave former Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Wednesday, citing her work to “advance women’s reproductive rights.”

MAHA: Trump has nominated Dr. Marty Makary to head the Food and Drug Administration. Makary is a Johns Hopkins professor and surgeon who has been an outspoken critic of COVID-19 mandates.

Trump has nominated Dr. Dave Weldon to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Weldon is a former congressman, a physician with 40 years of experience, and an Army veteran.

SURGEON GENERAL: Put another tick mark in the Fox News > Trump cabinet column. Fox contributor Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, MD, has been nominated to serve as Surgeon General of the United States. She said, “Thank you, Mr. President, for your trust. I pledge to work tirelessly to promote health, inspire hope, and serve our nation with dedication and compassion.” I’m guessing that, unlike Biden’s pick, she will also care about something besides trans rights.

TREASURY: Trump said, “Scott is widely respected as one of the world’s foremost international investors and geopolitical and economic strategists. Scott’s story is that of the American Dream.”

Many news outlets trumpeted the nominee for being a homosexual. Wikipedia says he is married to a man named John and that they have two kids. But, as Swain says, why should we care? I liked it better when what homosexuals did in the privacy of their homes was … you know … private.

I am delighted to see that Epoch Times, the only paper to which I $ub$cribe, did not mention Bessent’s sexual orientation even once. The Epoch Times report does say, “Bessent (62) is a Wall Street veteran and founder of international macro investment company Key Square Group. He served as a key economic adviser to Trump’s 2024 campaign.”

TRUMP APPOINTMENTS: Also nominated are Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-Ore.) for secretary of Labor, Scott Turner for secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and Linda McMahon for secretary of Education.
