AMERICAN HISTORY: On October 12, 1492, after more than two months at sea, Christopher Columbus and his crew landed in America.

EDUCATION: Forty-eight years ago, I took a graduate level education course at Cornell University. The professor, who had a doctorate in education, declared, out loud and in class … as if it was some Confucius level piece of wisdom … that if schools had done their jobs, they would have all closed by now (then). Read that again and think about it, because he clearly never had.
LIFE: I did that to a lobster once. It was so obvious it suffered that I never did it again.
LYING LIARS: Millions of people hate Trump for saying things he never said.
PROTESTANT REFORMATION: While rejecting the combined wisdom of more than a millennium of Catholic scholars, Martin Luther decided that he and he alone understood what Jesus had taught. He was furious when the men he had personally taught disagreed with him and went on to found their own denominations.
SYRACUSE: A friend of ours attended the Trump rally last Friday and got this photo as POTUS walked in.
GRAMMY NOTES: The day our realtor took me through this house and I saw it had a willow tree in the back yard, I knew it would be our forever home. We loved that tree, so it was a sad day when we realized it had become a hazard and needed to be cut down. Loathe to lose it altogether, we cooked up a plan to use the bottom of the trunk for what we call Fort Stump.
Our original plan had a rope ladder up the front and a climbing net on the back. Neither of these worked, plus the open railing made the Mamas very nervous. So this summer, we bought a nifty adjustable ladder that is sturdy and safe for the kids, plus will be very handy for home projects. And this fall, Nonno installed a railing on the fourth side. He tightened up the last screws on Sunday, so we’re all set for the next blessed invasion of grandchildren!
AMERICAN HISTORY: On October 8, 1871, the Great Chicago Fire started. Over the next four days, it killed about 300 people and destroyed more than 4 square miles of buildings.

I’ve often thought about the difference in that parable, not in the end wage, but rather in the experience of the various workers during the day. Yes, the early morning hires worked all day, but they also knew all day they would have money for their families. Those hired later had hours of anxiety and, for the latest ones, maybe despair that this night, their children would go to bed hungry.
DOUBLE STANDARDS: You know the saying … if they didn’t have double standards, they would have no standards at all.
IMMIGRATION: The Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed denaturalization cases against 40 individuals accused of various crimes, including child pornography, drug offenses, sodomy against a special needs man, child sexual abuse, identity theft, voluntary manslaughter, and espionage for China.
MILITARY: In 2009, Nidal Hasan, an Army officer stationed at Fort Hood went to his desk, bowed his head for several seconds, then shouted “Allahu Akbar! ” and began spraying “bullets at soldiers in a fanlike motion” before taking aim at individual soldiers. He killed 13 and wounded 32. The Obama administration labeled the attack “workplace violence,” because they didn’t want to admit it was an Islamic terror attack. President Trump has just approved Hasan’s execution by Army firing squad.
OH CANADA: The bad news is that Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) program approved a woman’s request to die, because she was upset that she could no longer cook for her family. The good news is that, with counseling, she came to understand that her family valued who she was, not what she did for them, and revoked her request.
In 2021, the Canadian government removed the “reasonably foreseeable death” requirement. MAID deaths now account for around 5% of all deaths in Canada.
PLANET FITNESS: On Oct. 1, Laquan Holland (40) was arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting two women inside a Planet Fitness women’s locker room in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Holland entered the women’s locker room where he sexually assaulted a woman and prevented her from leaving the area. He then attacked a second woman who attempted to intervene.
Planet Fitness, which advertises itself as a “judgment-free zone”, has a policy of allowing male members to enter women’s locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers, supposedly “based on their self-reported gender identity.” There’s no indication that Holland even pretended to be a woman. He has, however, previously pleaded guilty to two counts of child rape and one count of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. Planet Fitness says it has canceled Holland’s membership and is working with police.
SPIRITUAL WARFARE: St. John Bosco, also known as Don Bosco, was a19th century Italian Catholic priest and founder of the Salesian orders of priests, sisters, and lay people. He is known for his success ministering to youths, particularly boys. In his biography, it says he had a dream in which a tall dark figure with horns appears holding a magic lantern. Through it, boys were shown all kinds of tempting scenes which entertained them so intensely that it distracted them from Holy Communion.
TRANS: Zion Teasley (25) has pleaded guilty to stabbing Lauren Heike (29) to death and will spend the rest of his life behind bars. Before the murder, Teasley wrote in his diary that he was battling with his gender identity. He told authorities that he killed Heike because he was jealous of her beauty.
GRAMMY NOTES: In 1972, I was privileged to journey behind the Iron Curtain with a high school tour group. We visited Helsinki first, then crossed into the USSR to visit Leningrad and Moscow. Our Russian tour guide was a young mother who told us she wanted to care of her 3 yo daughter herself, but that the government didn’t allow that. She had to work. AND she was given only two choices of jobs. She took tour guide as the less onerous of her options.
BORDER: [4:58] – A caravan of about 300 left Honduras on September 20 and entered southern Mexico on September 24. The group, which is still heading to our border, has since swelled to more than 600 members. Tom Homan says there’s no way in hell they’re going to get into the U.S.
COVID: @TheRickster1957 posted, “My wife contracted severe case of Covid and was struggling to breathe. I knew admitting her to hospital would have been a death sentence. DEMOCRATS “vs” REPUBLICANS: Dems voted down a Republican-led effort to ban insider trading. I’m thinking that Republican senators getting rich from insider trading didn’t actually want the bill to pass; why else would they tack on a voter ID provision they know Dems oppose? So, now Republicans get to tell their constituents they voted for the ban, while Democrats get to tell their constituents they voted against voter ID. Meanwhile, they get to keep lining their pockets in a way that is highly illegal for the rest of us.

EVERYDAY HEROES: ”Wednesday afternoon I was driving west on I-40 when my blood sugar dropped to a dangerous level. Luckily a Burger King restaurant was at the upcoming exit. As I stumbled through placing my order I mentioned to the voice on the speaker that I was diabetic and in need of food. Low blood sugar makes it difficult to think or act. I pulled up to the first window in order to pay for my food. I was shocked to see Burger King employee Tina Hardy running toward the front of my car. She squeezed between the front of my car and the building just to bring me a small serving of ice cream. Tina later explained that her husband was also diabetic and she could tell that I needed help. After paying I pulled up to Tina’s window where she gave me my food. She instructed me to park across the driveway so that she could keep an eye on me until I felt better. After eating I waited for a break in business so that I could return to Tina’s window. MAHA: A new episode of The Real Food Show. [2:53] – Back in the 1980s, I was diagnosed with a vast number of food and chemical sensitivities and had to go on a Rotary Diversified Diet (RDD) of organic foods. Initially, I only had one food per meal; when I had identified 2 I tolerated, I could try them together to see how that worked, etc.
The RDD organizes all foods by families; a specific food is only eaten once in a four day rotation, while a relative is only eaten on the second day after. E.g., in my rotation, I had turkey, cauliflower, and pears on Day One and chicken, broccoli, and apples on Day Three.
A friend was visiting for a week and I realized she had been nervous about eating meals with me when I overheard her tell her husband on the phone, “It tastes like real food!” I always thought that would make a great title for a cookbook about my diet and I’m so tickled with Sec. Kennedy’s name for his show!

The exciting news is that the blue states are showing GOP candidates even or near even with the Democrat candidates. And get this … the latest Quinnipiac poll of men shows only 17% of American men approve of the Democratic Party!
NATIONAL SECURITY: An immigration judge has ruled that the U.S. can deport the Palestinian-born leader of Wisconsin’s largest mosque on the grounds that he is a national security threat.
TRANS: A 17-year-old trans person (Julia Egler) has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for murdering her mother and her mother’s boyfriend in 2024. TRUMP ECONOMY: So far this year, jobless claims have averaged just under 210,000. This is the lowest average for the January through September period since 1969.
The population of the United States in 1969 was approximately 202.68 million people. Today, it is estimated to be 349.04 people. If I did the math right, today’s population is 92% higher than it was in 1969. So a lowest average jobless claim is truly remarkable!
In other news, the US federal workforce is at its lowest level in 60 years, down by 11% since Trump took office.
DC: On August 20, 2025, Matthew Yglesias, Democrat blogger and jerknalist, posted, “I’m worried Trump is only going to make crime worse.”
On September 21, 2026, he posted, “DC crime has fallen enough that the CVS by my house has stopped locking the locks on the cases they installed during Peak Shoplifting and it’s such a quality of life upgrade.”

EVERYDAY HEROES: A keeper was making his usual rounds when shouting from the primate enclosure caught his attention. When he rushed over, he found an orangutan holding a much smaller gibbon tightly in his arms. At first, he feared the orangutan was hurting him, but after watching closely, he realized he wasn’t biting, hitting, or crushing the gibbon. He was simply refusing to let him leave.
The keeper eventually got them separated, but the encounter was unusual enough that staff began watching the enclosure more closely. That’s when they noticed a pattern. The gibbon had been repeatedly harassing the orangutan’s young son, chasing and bothering him around the enclosure. Whenever he pushed things too far, Dad would step in, grab the gibbon, and hold him there until he calmed down.
When asked about the unusual behavior, one caretaker laughed and said, “Apparently, ‘Go sit down and think about what you did’ might not be exclusively a human parenting strategy.”

BORDER: The State Department says it will make permanent a visa bond program under which citizens from 50 countries are required to post bonds of up to $20,000 for business or tourist visas. The rule is intended to prevent immigrants from overstaying their visas. Visitors will get their bond money back upon the termination of the visa, as long as they have complied with the visa terms and conditions and have departed on time.

Vulnerabilities in Electronic Voting & Ballot-Counting Systems – For years Americans were blatantly lied to about the security of our election infrastructure, including electronic voting machines and ballot-counting systems. We are releasing a series of previously-classified U.S. Intelligence Community Assessments and other reports proving that our government has long known these machines are extremely exposed to attack.
China’s Acquisition and Exploitation of American Voter Data – Over a period of years starting during the 2020 election cycle, the People’s Republic of China carried out what is believed to be the largest compromise of election data in history—resulting in China’s illicit acquisition of 220 million U.S. voter files. That information includes names, addresses, phone numbers, political party preferences, and other sensitive data that would be needed to register to vote, and engage in other nefarious activities. This data loss presents an unprecedented election security nightmare. The intelligence even shows that China assigned a data exploitation unit specifically to this new project.
Michigan Voter-Registration Investigation – Even when significant evidence of fraud has been detected, it has been buried and covered up. Among the disclosures are FBI files detailing evidence of alleged fraud by a large-scale voter registration operation in Michigan. In 2020, Michigan State Police raided a Democrat get-out-the-vote organization in Muskeegon, and were so concerned by what they found, that they contacted the FBI in Detroit. The documents state that some canvassers admitted to FBI agents that they signed voter registration forms in other people’s names, submitted fraudulent registrations for people who did not exist, and received gift cards tied to the number of applications they produced. The FBI agents working on the case believed that crimes were committed—yet the Biden Department of Justice slow-walked the investigation for years. Director Patel is being directed to ensure that the matter is fully investigated, and to work with the Department of Justice to prosecute those responsible for any crimes.
Noncitizens on State Voter Rolls – According to a D.H.S. review of state voter rolls and public records, they identified approximately 278,000 non-citizens who are registered to vote in federal elections. Since Democrat states refused to share their voter files, the real number is actually much higher—yet even this limited analysis found more than a quarter of a million foreigners illegally registered to vote.

Hello everybody!
So I may have given a lot of people a surprise today. Let me start off by apologizing to everyone whose trust I abused.
I apologize to my parents for saying I had an interview without specifying it was for “Most Wanted.”
I apologize to my colleagues and students for saying I had a personal emergency (by the time anyone reads this, I probably most certainly DO need to go to the ER, but can hardly call that not a self-inflicted status.)
I apologize to all of the people I traveled next to, all the workers who handled my luggage, and all the other non-targeted people at the hotel who I put in danger simply by being near.
I apologize to everyone who was abused and/or murdered before this, to all those who suffered before I was able to attempt this, to all who may still suffer after, regardless of my success or failure.
I don’t expect forgiveness, but if I could have seen any other way to get this close, I would have taken it. Again, my sincere apologies.
On to why I did any of this:
I am a citizen of the United States of America.
What my representatives do reflects on me.
And I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes.
(Well, to be completely honest, I was no longer willing a long time ago, but this is the first real opportunity I’ve had to do something about it.)
While I’m discussing this, I’ll also go over my expected rules of engagement (probably in a terrible format, but I’m not military so too bad.)
Secret Service: they are targets only if necessary, and to be incapacitated non-lethally if possible (aka, I hope they’re wearing body armor because center mass with shotguns messes up people who *aren’t*
Hotel Security: not targets if at all possible (aka unless they shoot at me)

National Guard: same as Hotel Security
Hotel Employees: not targets at all
Guests: not targets at all
In order to minimize casualties I will also be using buckshot rather than slugs (less penetration through walls)
I would still go through most everyone here to get to the targets if it were absolutely necessary (on the basis that most people *chose* to attend a speech by a pedophile, rapist, and traitor, and are thus complicit) but I really hope it doesn’t come to that.
Rebuttals to objections:
Objection 1: As a Christian, you should turn the other cheek.
Rebuttal: Turning the other cheek is for when you yourself are oppressed. I’m not the person raped in a detention camp. I’m not the fisherman executed without trial. I’m not a schoolkid blown up or a child starved or a teenage girl abused by the many criminals in this administration.
Turning the other cheek when *someone else* is oppressed is not Christian behavior; it is complicity in the oppressor’s crimes.
Objection 2: This is not a convenient time for you to do this.
Rebuttal: I need whoever thinks this way to take a couple minutes and realize that the world isn’t about them. Do you think that when I see someone raped or murdered or abused, I should walk on by because it would be “inconvenient” for people who aren’t the victim?
This was the best timing and chance of success I could come up with.
Objection 3: You didn’t get them all.
Rebuttal: Gotta start somewhere.
Objection 4: As a half-black, half-white person, you shouldn’t be the one doing this.
Rebuttal: I don’t see anyone else picking up the slack
Objection 5: Yield unto Caesar what is Caesar’s.
Rebuttal: The United States of America are ruled by the law, not by any one or several people. In so far as representatives and judges do not follow the law, no one is required to yield them anything so unlawfully ordered.
I would also like to extend my appreciation to a great many people since I will not be likely to be able to talk with them again (unless the Secret Service is *astoundingly* incompetent.)

Like, I expected security cameras at every bend, bugged hotel rooms, armed agents every 10 feet, metal detectors out the wazoo.
What I got (who knows, maybe they’re pranking me!) is nothing.
No damn security.
Not in transport.
Not in the hotel.
Not in the event.
Like, the one thing that I immediately noticed walking into the hotel is the sense of arrogance.
I walk in with multiple weapons and not a single person there considers the possibility that I could be a threat.
The security at the event is all outside, focused on protestors and current arrivals, because apparently no one thought about what happens if someone checks in the day before.
Like, this level of incompetence is insane, and I very sincerely hope it’s corrected by the time this country gets actually competent leadership again.
Like, if I was an Iranian agent, instead of an American citizen, I could have brought a damn Ma Deuce in here and no one would have noticed s–t.
Actually insane.
Oh and if anyone is curious is how doing something like feels: it’s awful. I want to throw up; I want to cry for all the things I wanted to do and never will, for all the people whose trust this betrays; I experience rage thinking about everything this administration has done.

There’s been some nonsense talk about how Trump supposedly has the “lowest approval rating in history” and that the WHCD shooting was staged to improve those numbers. You can look at the historical approval records yourself; there’s no paywall.
On April 21, 2026, House minority leader and leader of the House Democratic Caucus, Hakeem Jeffries, posted to social media, “Democrats defeated Donald Trump’s gerrymandering scheme in Virginia tonight. We will crush the DeSantis Dummymander in Florida next. Maximum warfare, everywhere, all the time.”
On April 26, 2026, the day after the WHCD shooting, Jeffries posted to social media, “America will not be lectured about civility by far right extremists in Congress. Particularly those who provide aid and comfort to hundreds of violent rioters who brutally beat police officers on January 6. There will be ample time to vigorously debate the issues of the day. Now is a time to unify.”
On Apr 7, 2026, Rep. Jamie Raskin called a Trump speech a “rambling and hate-filled diatribe” and urged Congress to invoke the 25th Amendment to get rid of him.
On Feb. 25, 2026, he called Trump “the most corrupt president in American history.”
In 2024, he called Trump a “career criminal” and “incorrigible recidivist con man” with a legacy of “American carnage” that nearly toppled the constitutional order.
