All Souls Day

ALASKA: Dan J. Sullivan, who filed to run as a Republican against GOP incumbent Sen. Dan Scott Sullivan, has not campaigned at all. His son, Noah, is a registered Democrat who works as a field representative for Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA). Perez (left in photo above) is good buddies with the Democratic candidate, Mary Peltola (right in photo above).

DEMOCRATS: Lynching political enemies is nothing new for the members of the party that founded the KKK.

DOUBLE STANDARDS: You know the saying … if they didn’t have double standards, they would have no standards at all.

EVERYDAY HEROES: @SamuraiShibaJP posted the following to X – I asked 50 Japanese people, ages 9 to 91, one question. “What do you admire most about Americans?” Here are the top answers. 10. “They clap when the plane lands.” (Office worker, 34) … 9. “They say ‘I love you’ every time they hang up the phone. Even men. Even to other men.” (Taxi driver, 61) … 8. “A stranger told me she liked my shoes. Then she just walked away. She didn’t want anything.” (High school girl, 16) … 7. “They thank the bus driver when they get off.” (Bus driver, 55. He got emotional saying this.) … 6. “They tell you their whole life story in the grocery line. I know about one man’s divorce, his boat, and his knee surgery. We knew each other for four minutes.” (My mother, 64) … 5. “They stand for the anthem at a children’s baseball game.” (Little League coach, 47) … 4. “When they lose, they shake hands and say ‘good game.’ And they mean it.” (Sota, 12) … 3. “They fly the flag on a regular Tuesday. No holiday. Just because.” (Nurse, 28) … 2. “They help a stranger push a car out of the snow, then leave without saying their name.” (My cousin’s husband, 52, who got stuck in Colorado once).

And the number one answer came from the oldest person I asked. My grandfather. He’s 91. He thought about it for a long time. Then he said: “They still believe tomorrow will be better than today.” I asked him what he meant. “In 1946, we had nothing,” he said. “The American soldiers I met were young and far from home. But they acted like the future was coming, and it was going to be good. After a while, we started to believe them.” I asked him if he thought Americans still believe that. He nodded slowly. “Tell them,” he said, “not to stop.”

FAFO: Allison Albro (21) was arrested after posting a selfie on social media with unsettling statement on committing assassination of the US president. The post reportedly ended with “Wish me luck, guys.”

Volusia County (Florida) sheriffs says she claimed it was a joke, that she does not have access to a firearm, and had no intention of hurting anyone.

18 U.S. Code § 871a states, “Whoever knowingly and willfully ,,, makes any such threat against the President, President-elect, Vice President or other officer next in the order of succession to the office of President, or Vice President-elect, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.”

MIDTERM: If you want that too, vote Republican.

OBAMA: [12:42] – “The tally of promises” … let’s to that, Barack. Let’s start with “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.“

OHIO: CLICK https://x.com/AshSavesUSA/status/2116568518783107326 [1:49] to hear the Democrat gubernatorial candidate channel drunk Kamala.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE: It starts at home. – CLICK https://x.com/USADocumented/status/2116880771054961095 [:30] and CLICK https://x.com/USADocumented/status/2116857969757339798 [:20]. I’m noticing not just the kids’ behaviors, in the presence of their parents, but also who photographed and posted the images. The first one is a porch cam that the home owner posted. The second was filmed and posted by the mother.

STUPID PEOPLE: The kid was right. @RealTJS2 elaborated with, “Marty’s was a Chicago deep dish and Luis ate a thin crust.” LOL

VIRGINIA: The letter says the appropriate officials have carefully examined the dead dog’s criminal record and determined it deserves a second chance.

GRAMMY NOTES: I love what Mama Buzz did to celebrate the Catholic feast of All Hallow’s Eve! They were going out trick or treating, so she placed a decorated table in front of their door with a bowl of treats on it.

Then she created a science-project-style display of family photos from our genealogy binders labeled “Pray For Our Dead” with an explanation about the Catholic 3-day feast called “Hallowtide.” Then she added a sign saying they would pray for all the people whose names got put into the jar and provided paper, pencils, and a jar.

She emailed me, “I wrote some of our names in a couple pieces of paper to start the jar so no one feels intimidated about being the first one. I tried to make it inviting and loving, not preachy or intimidating. When we got back from trick or treating, there were lots of names in the jar!”

I can’t tell you how whelmed I feel right now, knowing I helped raise this amazing woman.
