CONFIRMED: Senators voted 51–49 to confirm Kash Patel to head up the FBI. Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) crossed the aisle to join Democrats in voting against Patel’s nomination. Patel tweeted, “My mission as Director is clear: let good cops be cops—and rebuild trust in the FBI.”

COVID-19: In this excerpt from Dr. Birx’s memoir, she admits, “We had to make [two weeks to flatten the curve] palatable to the administration by avoiding the obvious appearance of a full Italian lockdown. … No sooner had we convinced the Trump administration to implement our version of a two-week shutdown than I was trying to figure out how to extend it.”

EDUCATION: On Tuesday, the U.S. 8th Circuit Court of Appeals finally killed Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan. The court’s ruling should block future presidents from attempting Biden’s vote buying maneuver.

MIDDLE EAST: Hamas released the bodies of four Israeli hostages – Shiri Bibas and her two children, Ariel and Kfir, were abducted, along with 83-year-old Oded Lifshitz – after parading their coffins under a banner that sought to blame Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for their deaths. Kfir, who was 9 months old when he was taken, was the youngest captive. The children’s father, Yarden Bibas, was returned earlier this month as part of an exchange of live hostages for prisoners.

PARDON CZAR: President Trump has appointed Alice Marie Johnson to make recommendations to him about who should be granted clemency. Johnson says, “Back in the 1990s, I was a single mother about to lose my house. In a desperate moment, I made a life-altering bad decision to become a low-level player in a drug operation. When law enforcement authorities broke up the drug operation, I was prosecuted and sentenced to life in prison.” Trump pardoned her in 2018.

SSA: When Leland Dudek (right) got caught helping DOGE understand the Social Security Administration’s systems, his then-boss, Acting Social Security Commissioner Michelle King (left), placed him on administrative leave pending an investigation. 1. Hamas released the bodies of four Israeli hostages – Shiri Bibas and her two children…

You may have read by now that the body was not Shiri Bibas, nor was there a match for any “hostage.” They returned some anonymous woman. Horror story all around.

This video discusses the origins of the Ouija board. Had some info I hadn’t known. Might interest you.

Once many moons ago, I wrote at length on here about my experiences with the Ouija board, but IIRC my comment didn’t get posted; short form: it’s really just a harmless gimmick, although, like many otherwise-innocent things it can be used evilly. Gullible and malicious people should not be entrusted with a pack of matches, either.

I fell down a rabbit hole of YooToob-recommended videos on the Shroud of Turin, many of them recent, purporting new news about it, but they were all tedious or superficial, and the only exciting thing was the not so new news that the age of the cloth is actually contemporary with Jesus, not the Middle-Ages as that one test showed a while back. I did find one short video I liked, and thought you might appreciate.
