BEST SPEECH EVER: [7:14] – Dearest and I enjoyed last night’s presentation by POTUS before a joint session of Congress. But it turned out that all we really needed was a new president.” During his first ten days in office, the number of U.S. Border Patrol apprehensions along the southwest border dropped 85% from the same period in 2024.
DEMOCRATS: Of the Democrats who showed up, one was tossed out early on for behaving badly, a bunch more left midway through, and most of the rest showed the world their TDS faces.
DREADFUL: With very few exceptions, Democrats refused to even crack a smile for any of Trump’s special guests, including the guy who was recently released from a Russian prison.
GILLEN: One of the exceptions to the rude was Rep. Laura Gillen (D-NY-4) of Long Island who stood and applauded 13-year-old DJ. I’m wondering if the nasties in her party will make her pay for her act of rebellion.
For some reason, DJ’s presence especially annoyed Rachel Maddow who said it was “disgusting” that “the President made a spectacle out of praising a young man who thus far survived pediatric cancer, as if the President had something to do with that.”

There were several moments during the speech when I got teary-eyed. But when D.J. Daniel received his medal and was so happy that he threw his arms around Secret Service Director Sean Curran, I completely lost it.
