EDUCATION DEPARTMENT: This Carter boondoggle is laying off half its work force and closing offices in New York, Boston, Dallas, Chicago, and San Francisco. These reductions will not affect any of the department’s services, including college financial aid loan and grants functions, Title 1 funding for low-income students, special education funding, and civil rights functions. Trump’s Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon, says she is committed to achieving President Trump’s goal of eliminating the department entirely and returning control of education to local authorities and parents.
EGG$: Prices began to come down after Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins unveiled a $1 billion strategy to fight avian flu and reduce egg prices. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “It will take about three to six months to get the egg supply back where it should be.” Rollins warned prices could rise temporarily due to high demand during the Easter season.
FOLLOW THE MONEY, HONEY: In the final months of Biden’s term in office, a “vaccine company” headed up by two former Biden staffers got $28 million in federal funding from the National Institutes of Health’s Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). The alleged “Vaccine Company, Inc.” has no physical office space, no lab, no manufacturing facility. The good news is that only $2 million of the grant has been spent by the grifters so far. Taxpayers may be able to claw back a good chunk of the money. One would hope to see some handcuffs and prosecutions as well.

TDS: I just saw a great line in Not the Bee that expresses thoughts I have often about which of the numerous stories of liberal absurdity cross “that fine line between confronting dangerous ignorance” and which should be “better left to wither and die in lonely obscurity”? Case in point … Rosie O’Donnell has self-deported herself and her 12-year-old child to Ireland to escape Trump’s America. She says she misses her friends and family, but will not consider coming back until “it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America.”
TRANS SANITY: In recent months, teachers in Virginia, Ohio, and Wisconsin who were fired for refusing to use trans names/pronouns have won their court cases. The courts found the schools were violating religious freedoms and/or compelling speech, both of which are unconstitutional.
