Not every spiritual battle comes with dramatic signs. Many times, spiritual attacks come quietly—subtle, hidden, and easy to ignore, especially when life is busy or we are spiritually distracted. Here are some often-missed warning signs:
1. Sudden Disinterest in Prayer
When prayer feels pointless, burdensome, or constantly delayed without reason, it may be more than fatigue—it may be a spiritual battle.
2. Constant Distraction During Sacred Moments
If the Mass, Rosary, or Scripture suddenly feels irritating, boring, or unbearable, this can indicate spiritual resistance.
3. Irritation Toward Holy Things
Feeling annoyed or uncomfortable around blessings, holy water, sacramentals, or reminders of faith may signal a deeper struggle.
4. Hopeless Thoughts That Aren’t True
Thoughts like “God doesn’t care about you,” “You’re unforgivable,” or “There’s no hope for you” are spiritual lies meant to discourage the soul.
5. Pulling Away From the Church
A growing urge to skip Mass, avoid Confession, or distance yourself from faith and the Church weakens spiritual strength and protection.
6. Ongoing Confusion and Inner Turmoil
Spiritual attacks often create anxiety, chaos, fear, and doubt—while God brings peace, clarity, and calm.

The hopeful news is this: Spiritual attacks lose their power when brought to light. Prayer, Confession, the Eucharist, the Rosary, holy water, and calling on the Name of Jesus restore peace, strength, and protection. God never abandons His children. But He calls us to remain spiritually awake and guarded.

Thank you for this!
