AMERICAN HISTORY: On January 16, 1786, Virginia enacted Thomas Jefferson’s Statute for Religious Freedom. It was one of the most important laws ever passed by the Virginia Assembly, provided inspiration for the Bill of Rights, and was one of the achievements of which Jefferson was most proud.
BORDER: In December, 14 of the top 20 metro areas with the largest illegal migrant populations, home list prices declined year-over-year. The three metro areas that saw modest price increases are all so-called “sanctuary cities.”
CALIFORNICATION: The Democrats’ plan to increase the already staggering tax burden they demand of their wealthiest residents ignores the inconvenient truth that said residents have a constitutional right to move elsewhere.
The article linked below claims that California stands to lose $20 billion in tax revenue in 2026 as a direct result of just one company – Google – relocating to avoid the new tax. There is no way to calculate the dollar figure of such a loss; however, $20 billion is likely not far off the mark.
Google’s relocation will cost California’s greedy socialists not just Google’s corporate taxes and the personal income taxes of its two billionaire owners. It will also cost them the personal, school, city, and sales taxes of all the people whose jobs are moving out of the state.
But there are even wider losses to consider. Whenever a major employer leaves an area, people who have to move leave behind homes they can’t sell. Property values drop. Businesses close, because the people who needed them are no longer there. And all of those businesses and people will also no longer be paying taxes.

GREENLAND: Trump recently had a White House meeting with Danish and Greenlandic foreign ministers during which he stressed that Russia and China will swoop in to control new shipping lanes and mining opportunities in the Arctic if the U.S. does not step into a more direct role.
In response, the EU announced it would be deploying troops to defend Greenland. Troops (which means individuals) sent by the various countries include France (15), Germany (13), Sweden (3), Norway (2), The Netherlands (1), UK (1). By my count, that’s 35. The U.S. already has 200 troops stationed there.

The Obama administration bragged about the fact that they had forcibly removed the highest number of formal removals of any presidential administration in U.S. history. Over his 8 years, they deported 3 million to 3.1 million illegal aliens. Yet Grok confirms what I recall, which is that the deportation protests held during Obama’s time were relatively small, scheduled marches and sit-ins, not the on-going and organized efforts to harass and physically impede ICE agents that we’re seeing now.

MILK: On January 14, President Trump signed the bipartisan “Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act”, reversing Obama-era restrictions and allowing schools to once again offer whole and 2% milk to students.

S&G: Precise language is important. But language evolves to meet the needs of society. These words all have real definitions that are commonly understood and therefore useful to the discussions we need to have. Personally, I don’t care if someone calls me cisgender. Since I am female, it merely acknowledges the fact that I am comfortable with my biological sex. Where I draw the line is with statements like “trans women are women.” They’re not. They are men who are not comfortable with their biological sex.

Three of those fake votes were counted in the last election. The fourth didn’t pass inspection and was tossed out.
I saw one comment suggesting that, since they caught someone who only did this four times, then there must not be widespread voter fraud. I’m thinking it’s more likely they are using this woman who clearly has no money or political clout as a convenient scapegoat to divert attention from the big fraudsters.
